Life has been pretty low key around here lately. Both girls have fairly bad colds and didn’t feel like doing a whole lot this weekend. It kind of worked out well with the dreary weather to just take it easy and rest a bit.
We met up with some friends at the Novi Swim Club last Wednesday. These little ladies had a great time chatting over lunch . . .
. . . and so did their mamas!
Both girls have been having some weird sleep issues for the entire month of August. I think I can remember ONE night over the past few weeks where I got an uninterrupted night of sleep. They’re scared . . . they can’t fall asleep . . . they don’t want to be alone . . .they have to go potty. You name it, they’ve said it. Our bedroom is a revolving door of constant interruption between the hours of 9pm and 6am. On the one night the girls both slept all night and stayed in their beds, they got donuts for breakfast!
If you don’t smile at this picture then there’s something wrong with you!
I know you’re here for all the Penelope content! We were playing restaurant the other day, and the girls made sure to give Penny a “pup cup.” This little fur ball goes to the groomer today, so she won’t look like a little bear anymore. Boo! It’s a necessity for summer, though.
Matty snapped this gem of me on Friday. We were going out to lunch, so I decided to put on actual clothes . . . but I still had to get some chores done while listening to my audiobook.
We’ve started (and basically finished) our back to school shopping. Here are Lucy’s choices . . .
. . . and Emily’s. She doesn’t need quite as much because of all the hand-me-downs from Lucy.
We’re guinea pig sitting again this week, and the girls are in their glory!
And that’s all I have to share today. We have zero plans this week, and we’re due for some amazing summer weather, so hopefully the girls perk up soon so we can get to a playground!
Have a great week!
