We had another great trip to Cedar Point. This is our fifth time going (but we skipped 2020), and we continue to be surprised at how much fun we have. As the girls get older they’re getting braver, and this was their year to try some big rollercoasters!
Get ready for a lot of pictures!
We arrived around noon on Thursday, dropped our bags with the hotel, and headed straight out to the beach for some lunch and lake time.

Once our room was ready we went up to check it out and had a great view!

We cleaned up for dinner and went to the Hibachi restaurant in the hotel. This was the first time the girls have even been to a Hibachi restaurant, and they enjoyed the show! As you can see, other people started to arrive as the day went on and our whole group crowded around one table.

The girls loved when the chef squirted water in their mouths . . .

. . . and Matty got some sake!

After dinner we walked along the boardwalk for awhile before sitting around a fire pit on the beach.

It didn’t take long for this to happen . . . and vacation Molly could not have cared less!

Friday morning we got up bright and early and headed into the park. We get in an hour early since we stay at the hotel, so we used that hour to try some big rides. We made a bee line for the Iron Dragon, and the girls LOVED it! We got right off and got back in line to do it again. Throughout the next few days we did the Iron Dragon a lot, the Gate Keeper, and the Corkscrew. Two rides in a row on the Cork Screw did me in, and it was time for mama to take a break from the rides! As the girls get older, they’ll definitely be riding with Daddy more.

Somewhere up there at the top of the Wind Seeker are Lucy and Aunt Sarah! Lucy has been talking about this ride all year and was SO happy she was finally tall enough.

Brian’s niece, Riley, was such a huge help with all of our kiddos!

We got about an hour and a half of rain in the afternoon, so we ducked into the gift shop to spend the money Oma and Papa sent with the girls. They chose stuffies, of course.

After pizza by the pool, we hit the beach in the evening.

That long snake cracks me up!

Saturday morning we were up and at ’em bright and early again.

We did the Iron Dragon and Corkscrew, and then Emmy and I did some rides in Kiddie Kingdom while Matty and Lucy rode the Gate Keeper a few times.

We spent about five hours in the park doing allll the rides, and it was SO hot and humid! Finally, around 2:30, we went back to the room and changed into our swimsuits to cool off at the beach for a few hours.

We had reservations for all of us to eat at Famous Dave’s (party of 30!!), and then we went back to the park for one last time to do some rides and play games . . . and that’s when things got interesting. Matty and I told the girls that they each had $20 to spend. They could either spend it on something at the gift shop or use it on the carnival games, but once it’s gone that’s it. Emily immediately said she wanted something from the gift shop, and she chose a bird stuffy. Lucy decided to try her luck at carnival games. She got a bucket of about 100 rings to throw at the ring toss, and would you believe one of them actually got on a bottle? LOOK WHAT SHE WON!!!

You guys, she was BESIDE HERSELF! It was the cutest thing.

The only problem? . . . the SECOND that ring went around the bottle top, sweet Emmy Roses lost her ever-loving mind. Like full on major meltdown screaming in the middle of the park! She didn’t want her bird stuffy anymore, she wanted a giant stuffy like Lucy. You guys, it was an ordeal, and even the next day I hadn’t fully recovered from it!

You can’t deny how cute she is with that giant koala, though!

After about 20 minutes or so, Emily started calming down enough to ride some rides. This is her favorite ride at Planet Snoopy . . . please look at her poor face! She rode it four times in a row, but never cracked a smile.

After about another 30 minutes, Emily FINALLY rallied and we were all having a good time again. We rode the Tiki Twirl a few times while Matty sat with the stuffies . . .

. . . and then we took a picture in front of the Ferris Wheel and wrapped up our final day at Cedar Point!

By the time we got back to the hotel room, Emily was happy again and enjoyed setting up KoKo for a little photo shoot.

KoKo got a prime seat on the way home Sunday morning . . .

. . . and got the seat of honor in Lucy’s room!

While we were gone, Penelope was living her best life with the Olsons. Look at these sweet pictures Marie sent us during our trip!

And that’s a wrap on Cedar Point 2022! I may have forgotten the stroller, the Kindle charger, and Emmy’s pajamas (I might be losing my mind!), but we still had a fantastic time.
Have a great weekend!
XOXO
