Happy Monday! It’s the LAST Monday of the school year, woo hoooooo!
Just popping in for a quick weekend recap and then I’m off to work on my class.
Lucy had a few friends over to play after school on Thursday, and the ice cream truck rolled by around 5:30. None of them had eaten dinner yet, but this was my chance to be the cool mom and I wasn’t going to waste it!
My parents got Lucy this kickball croquet set for her birthday, and we set it up in the common area over the weekend. Before we knew it, a turtle was crawling across the grass and it suddenly turned into a turtle obstacle course.
That little turtle was cruising!
Not pictured: the four adults who were also quite excited when the turtle finally went through one of the hoops.
Two crazy girls at Walmart!
The guys went golfing on Sunday, so I met Marie and her girls at the Novi Swim Club. It wasn’t very crowded, and the girls had a blast for three straight hours!
Emily probably did the water slide at least 30 times.
We got home in the late afternoon, and I got right to baking because I have cookie orders almost every day this week! I caught Lucy in the act of trying to sneak some dough and snapped this picture. She’s getting so big!
And by dinner she was also getting quite tired! Ha!
And speaking of tired . . . here I am in all my glory at dinner last night. Let’s note a few things here. 1. Sunday dinner was grilled ham and cheese with fruit. 2. I couldn’t even be bothered to serve the fruit on their plates; I just set the containers in front of them. 3. I didn’t even eat anything because it took much less energy to just lay my head on the counter for a few minutes.
I’m physically tired, but I also have a lot on my mind lately which I think is making me mentally tired as well. I’m gearing up for a super busy last week of school and can’t wait for Friday at noon! I’ll be back next Monday to share all about our last week of school fun.
Have a great week and stay cool . . . 97 degrees and full sun on Wednesday!! Yes!
