Hello and happy Thursday!
We’re back from a long weekend at the cottage where we got things ready for the season and enjoyed some amazing summer weather. In fact, I enjoyed things so much that I don’t have many pictures to share!
We were itching to get on the road Friday afternoon, so Matty grabbed Lucy from school early and we were on our way by 2pm.

I took the kids for a walk Friday evening, and took the greatest picture ever! They’re standing in reverse order and are currently four, five, six, and seven!

We pulled the boat out of the garage on Saturday morning. Brian was holding on to this rope while Matty slowly pulled the boat forward, and it looked like he was taking the boat for a walk.

It wasn’t super warm on Saturday, but those kiddos got straight to tubing!

Emily isn’t a fan of tubing yet, but she enjoys watching her cousins from the boat.

I did three big tubing sessions on Monday (if you’ll recall, I LOVE tubing!), and one of them included Grandma Rita! The kids got a kick out of watching her tube. The water was pretty choppy and by the end of my third run I was ready to be done!

Penelope Pudding loves the boat!

All that boating and fresh air makes the girls pass right out at night.

These kiddos played HARD! They were SO dirty by the end of each night and definitely earned their baths. We couldn’t get them to wear shoes. Why do kids like to run around barefoot?!

Matty enjoyed himself a nice cup of coffee on the boat one morning . . .

. . . while Penelope enjoyed her new perch up in the house.

We ended the trip with our annual Memorial Weekend photo. I’ve been doing it for years, and we can’t wait to see Lucy recreate her pose when she’s sixteen!

Look how much they’ve grown!

As usual, I came home from vacation more tired than when I left. I laid down on Emily’s floor last night before bed, and the girls started brushing my hair and rubbing lotion on my arms and hands for a massage! It was wonderful! Lucy snapped this picture, and it makes me laugh because Emily’s nightgown is on backward.

We really lucked out with the weather and had such a great trip!
We’ve got a busy weekend ahead of us: my mama friends are coming over tonight, Lucy’s school has their Backyard Bash tomorrow evening, and we have a birthday party on Saturday. Phew! Only two more weeks until we can cross this school year off our list of things to do and start enjoying summer!
XOXO
