We’re all healthy! Praise the Lord and knock on wood!
Lucy got Norovirus last Tuesday evening, and it was by far the sickest she’s ever been. It hit her school HARD, and it’s nothing short of a miracle that the rest of us came out of it unscathed. Is it time for me to relax and accept the fact that we successfully evaded it?. . . you know as soon as I do that I’ll be running for the bathroom in no time. I’m cautiously optimistic that Matty, Emmy, and I have been spared.
In the meantime, here are a few picture from before Lucy got sick and then some from what we’ve been up to as she recovers. She went to school Monday last week, had Tuesday off for teacher professional development, and then missed the rest of the week . . . so I’m looking forward to her getting back to school today!
Last Monday I dropped Emily off at school . . . and picked up a dinosaur!

One of my neighbors has two girls who are nine and eleven. Last week she gave me FOUR bins filled with clothes to go through for my girls. I rarely ever get hand me downs from anyone, so I was on cloud nine . . .

. . . and so were the girls when they spied these matching sequin jackets in the bins!

Lucy didn’t have school last Tuesday, so I purposely made her an eye appointment on that day. After her check up, we had a lovely lunch together . . .

. . . before doing a few errands and picking out a few things she wants to put on her birthday list.

And while Lucy and I were having our time together, Matty took Emily to gymnastics and then out to lunch at her favorite restaurant: Chipotle! haha

Tuesday evening things south when Lucy got sick. I spent a bit of time sitting on the bathroom floor with Lucy on Wednesday, while trying to entertain Emily and keep her a little quiet because Matty had a lot of meetings. Emmy spent a lot of time using my phone to take pictures of ways she posed Penelope and then bringing the phone into the bathroom for me to see. There were like 20 pictures on my phone, but I’ll just show you one.

It was sunny on Thursday afternoon so I took the girls out on the driveway to get some fresh air. Lucy drew with chalk for a few minutes but then just kind of sat around and watched while the rest of us played. Poor girl.

By Friday night Lucy was finally perking up. I had signed up to get a leprechaun house craft from our library, so we spent some time working on that.

Sunday was a baking/meal prep kind of day. I put together this display of rainbow sugar cookies to post on my Belle and Roses Cookie page.

And then Matty had the idea to try making our own peanut butter cups. They are delicious, but too big. I think we’d be better off using a mini muffin pan. Look at the picture on the left . . . doesn’t it look like I’m holding an actual Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup?? Nope . . . it’s a homemade one!

They are Lucy and Emily approved!

Finally, here are two memes that made me laugh this week. This one is hilarious. I am excellent at all of these, but #6 is my specialty!

Pardon the language on this one, but it made me giggle. Yes, I know that a high price of gas is a small price to pay for what’s going on in other parts of the world, but we can still make funny memes about it.

I’m not even going to say we have a normal week coming up, because I don’t even know what a normal week is anymore! I do know that we’re supposed to get some lovely spring weather, and for that I am very thankful!
XOXO
