Happy Thursday!
This week is flying by, but I don’t have much to report.
Is there anything cuter than a bike helmet with braided pigtails?

Penelope loves to sit with Matt while he works, but she also likes to keep an eye on things outside. This week she finally figured out how to make her worlds collide.

She’s smart AND beautiful ๐

Monday was free cone day at DQ, and we all enjoyed a small cone with sprinkles. Funny story: there were pine cones all over the ground and a few of the tables from a giant tree next to the DQ. I picked one up and handed it to Matty and said, “Here you go, free cone day!” He just stared at me in disbelief, but it KILLED with the lady sitting at the table next to us! She laughed so hard, and I’ve never felt so validated!

We’re going on an adventure in less than two weeks, and we are in full on prep mode. Lucy tried out her new pair of goggles one morning during breakfast. Kids in goggles are adorable!

And that’s all I have. This week turned into a busy, busy, busy one for me! I’ve had something going on every day and a few evenings. This morning, Emily and I are going to a story time at the Humane Society where we’ll get to listen to stories and pet puppies. I’m not sure which one of us is more excited! Tomorrow I got asked to volunteer for lunch and recess duty at Lucy’s school which should be interesting . . . and fun to surprise Lucy when she walks into the cafeteria! In between that I have two cookie orders, and then Emily’s birthday party on Sunday . . . for which she’s requested a very special cake!
Have a great weekend! If you need me, I’ll be in my kitchen.
XOXO
