How on earth did this happen?! Five seems big to me. Kindergarten is in the not so distant future . . . booster seat rather than carseat . . . she can finally try gum. It’s a big age!
Emily is made of sunshine and marshmallows. For the most part, she is SO happy, agreeable, and sweet. She is my snuggler and my girly girl. That being said, if I had to choose one word to describe Emily, it would hands down be GOOFY. I can’t tell you how many times Matty and I look at each other and ask ourselves how we got such a goofy child. Goofy in a sweet, hilarious way though. She cracks us up every single day.
She cannot WAIT to start Kindergarten, has been riding a two-wheel bike since she turned three, and recently worked hard to master Lucy’s pogo stick in about five days. Did I mention she’s a snuggler? The other night she came to get me because she had a bad dream. When I crawled into bed with her, the first thing she did was grab my hand and tuck it in to herself. She is the sweetest! Don’t get me wrong, she can be whiny and disagreeable at times, but overall her personality is awesome.
I went down the rabbit hole of looking for pictures of Emily over the past five years, and I just couldn’t stop. Please enjoy the random selection of pictures that I found in the ten minutes I gave myself to go down memory lane.

Here’s a collage of Emily with all of her cakes over the years . . .

And a closer look at the cakes, in case you’re interested ๐
