Happy Monday!
The girls don’t have school today due to MLK Day, and Lucy brought this gem of a project home on Friday in honor of it.

Some of these pictures are actually from last weekend when we were in quarantine. Matty picked up this 1000 piece puzzle from Costco and we did it in four days. It turns out we really like puzzles, but I really don’t like having our kitchen table covered in puzzle pieces.

The girls got SO MUCH extra TV time while Matty and I were trying to recover, and one of the shows they love to watch is Disney’s Magic Bake Off. Lucy REALLY wanted to try baking a cake from scratch . . . and making frosting . . . and dying the frosting . . . and using my baking tips to decorate. My mama heart loved it, but my mama body that was full of Covid just didn’t have it in me, so boxed cake mix, canned frosting, crushed cookies, and sprinkles it was! They had a blast, so I guess it was a win.

We did sooo many crafts during quarantine that by day 8 I put my foot down and said I couldn’t do any more. The girls’ favorite was salt painting, which was actually pretty fun. Just use liquid glue to make a picture, cover with salt and then shake it off into a container, and then paint with water colors.

When it’s 10 degrees and windy but you haven’t left the house in a week, you bundle up for one lap around the circle!

If you accidentally get a weird text from me, or if I ever accidentally purchase everything in my Amazon cart before I get the chance to “save for later,” it’ll be Penelope’s fault! She loves to lay her adorable muzz right on top of my keyboard.

Target betrayed me. I told Matt I ordered “just a few things” to spruce up our living room and then this shows up on our front porch on Saturday! It was four large pillows, that’s it!

Sometimes on the weekends the girls sleep in the guest room together. On Saturday morning they were playing so well together upstairs, and this is what I found when I went up to check on them! The stuffies have made themselves at home, and so has Penelope. And you can’t even see what’s propped up on the walls on either side and the wall across from the bed. They moved practically their entire rooms into the guest room! It’s all fun and games until it’s time to move it all back tonight.

We celebrated a Sunday that feels like a Saturday by going bowling and out to dinner with our besties.

Pizza and lemonade had these girls fired up!

And that’s it! I’m about halfway through my Year in Review post, and I really hope to have it ready for Thursday. Have a great week!
XOXO
