. . . Covid positive. ugh!
All four Kissels tested positive for Covid last week. Symptoms started last Monday afternoon. Thankfully, the girls weren’t bad at all. Matty and I, on the other hand, were super sick and felt awful. As any parent knows, it sucks to be sick and have kids to take care of, BUT, it’s a special kind of hell when both parents feel terrible, both girls feel fine, and no one can come and help you.
Most days I tried to be understanding because I know this quarantine is hard on the girls too, even though they’re feeling fine. They were just home for two weeks for Christmas vacation and were excited to get back to school . . . and now they’re stuck at home with two sick parents for ten days. I’m not going to lie, I had some moments I’m not too proud of where I lost my temper. Hopefully we all come out of this without any permanent emotional scarring.
The girls get to go back to school on Thursday (Lucy) and Friday (Emily) this week . . . just in time for them to have next Monday off for MLK Day! All in all, we will have come out of this just fine but I do not want to do it again!
Needless to say, I don’t really have any pictures to share except for this gem of a coloring sheet that I did the other night during a family coloring session. It’s Matty and me in our natural habitat!

I might be back with a post on Thursday, but I might not. I’m supposed to have already done my annual Year in Review post but that hasn’t happened yet, so maybe I’ll spend the week working on that.
Have a great week and don’t get Covid!
XOXO
