Happy Monday, friends!
Can anyone else not believe that we’re in the home stretch before Christmas vacation?? Didn’t we JUST start school?!
We had another weekend filled with Christmas fun, including a surprise early gift!
Emily brought home her very first report card last week, and she is doing GREAT! She chose to get Superman ice cream with chocolate cones as her treat. I think her face shows you exactly how much she enjoyed it!
Lucy brought home this angel picture in December of 2019, and I thought it was so precious . . . and immediately couldn’t wait until Emily was in 4 year old preschool to make one! Well, she finally brought hers home last week and I am one happy mama!

Emily hosted her very first play date with some friends from preschool on Thursday, and Raspberry brought her some cute reindeer applesauce pouches as a treat. I bet that poor elf stayed up LATE the night before getting them done. What an amazing elf she is! ๐

These were cute little stickers crafts. I love me anything gingerbread themed!

Let me tell you . . . these cream cheese sugar cookies are YUMMY!

I told Emily she could choose whatever outfit she wanted for her play date . . . she went with something subtle.

Thursday evening I helped decorate our clubhouse for Santa, who was visiting Friday night. I brought my festive mug of water, but quickly abandoned it when someone else brought a festive champagne punch!

I went in to check on the girls when I got home. I’m telling you, these girls can drive me bananas during the day, but they sure are sweet when they sleep! Lucy had tucked Nemo in next to her bed . . .

. . . and Emily fell asleep with her donut headband on!

We had some pretty decent weather on Friday afternoon, so we walked/rollerskated/rollerbladed around our circle. Emily stopped for a picture with the Christmas unicorn, but Lucy was way too far ahead of us to stop.

And then . . . the girls and Matty came home and played our brand new Nintendo Switch. I can’t even believe we own a game console. I never thought I’d see the day. Matty brought it home earlier in the week, and we enjoyed it for a few days before showing it to the girls. The only game we have is MarioKart, and the girls LOVE it. They caught on really fast and really get into it. Apparently, I do too, because we were playing as a family last night and I yelled out “Damnit!” OOPS!!!

After a little MarioKart, we walked over to our clubhouse to see Santa!

They also had the cutest food truck selling hot cocoa and mini donuts.

And if that wasn’t enough, we walked back home and welcomed the Heinbuchs . . . who brought pizza! After dinner the girls had a blast racing against Ryan and Stephanie.

Saturday morning we had nothing on the calendar, and it was glorious! The girls helped me wrap a few gifts, but then eventually moved on to wrapping random toys as gifts for their stuffies. They made their own gift tags and everything, and it was a really sweet hour or so. I feel like I can’t really say that lately.

Saturday afternoon we went to Rita’s house to help her decorate and then out to dinner at Big Bear Lodge. We decided to get one slice of cheesecake with five spoons for dessert, and it’s a good thing we shared because the cake was enormous!

Lucy actually decided to pass on the cheesecake in lieu of a popsicle at Rita’s afterward (weirdo!), but Emily had no problem grabbing her fork and diving right in!

This made me LOL . . .especially this time of year.

And that’s it!
We’ve got a busy week coming of up holiday parties at school, and the girls are VERY excited. We’ve also got some nicer weather scheduled for this week, which makes ME very excited!
Have a great week!
XOXO
