Happy Monday!
There’s snow on the ground at our house.
I’ll repeat . . . there’s snow on the ground at our house. UGH!
We had a busy but fun weekend and I have some pictures to prove it.
I think these pictures are from Thursday. Matty and the girls put the lights on our little evergreen tree in the backyard. This was so much smaller when we moved in three years ago! Pretty soon we might not be able to make it to the top.

Lucy’s nightly reading is often a family affair.

It’s not all sunshine and rainbows over here . . . believe me! We are going through a major emotional/behavioral phase with Lucy that has been super stressful for everyone in the house. That stress combined with me not bouncing back from the miscarriage like I thought I would has hit me hard lately. Luckily, Emily and Penelope were happy to go along with a little morning rest/TV time once we got Lucy off to the bus.

Lucy had picture retakes on Friday at school . . . and then came home and promptly pulled out her front tooth!! So so cute . . . but why couldn’t she have done it BEFORE pictures?!

And then on Friday evening we got pizza for dinner and put up our Christmas tree! Yep, we did it and we’re not sorry about it. Side note: I need a new topper but cannot seem to find one that’ll work with this tree!

We had Christmas card pictures on Saturday afternoon. Afterward, we had a delicious dinner at Big Bear Lodge to celebrate Grandma Rita’s birthday . . .

. . . and then had some hot fudge cream puffs for dessert!

It was starting to snow when we woke up on Sunday morning so we had a slow morning of cuddles . . .

. . . and making place cards for Thanksgiving. We’re hosting for the first time ever this year.

Aren’t they so cute?!

The snow kept falling and was calling out to alllll the kiddos . . . so they came in to put on their snow clothes and then spent an hour sledding with neighbors. I don’t have any pictures of it because I decided to stay in the warm, dry house.

The kids were playing outside, Matty went to Costco, and I decided to get out my Christmas pillows and blankets. See the long one that says Cuddle Up? . . .

. . . we have the smartest Cavapoo in the world; she can read!

It wasn’t just a fluke because I found her upstairs in the loft last night with the pillow again. I think someone found her favorite Christmas pillow!

It was a good weekend, and I look forward to slowly putting up the rest of the Christmas decorations as the week goes on.
Have a great week!
XOXO
