It’s November 1st! How is that even possible??
Even though I wasn’t feeling very Halloween-ish this year, we certainly did pack a lot of spooky fun into the past few days.
We started with a trip to Erwin’s Orchard early last week. It was chilly, but not crowded late on a Tuesday afternoon.

We didn’t pick apples, but we did take a tractor ride for pumpkins.

The girls’ gymnastics center was all decked out for Halloween!

Lucy enjoyed the vampire teeth her coach handed out.

Lulu brought home two super cute projects from school last week. The first was the adorable Frankenstein . . .

. . . and the second was this pumpkin costume. She insists on wearing it with the face in the back, probably because she knows it drives me crazy.
Despite alllll the rain, we had a great time at Lucy’s school’s Trunk-or-Treat. I was afraid that the costumes I had made them for this year would get ruined in the rain, so the girls wore their fairy dress up clothes instead.

All the cars were great, but Matty and I particularly enjoyed the pumpkins in the back of this car . . . can you tell it belonged to a local dentist?!

On Saturday evening we got together to celebrate Oma’s birthday (which is actually TODAY!!). It always makes for a fun opportunity to get the kids in their costumes a day or two early.

On Sunday morning we finally got around to carving pumpkins . . . clothing optional. This is the only picture I have of the girls doing their pumpkins. Why? Because they got bored and deserted me! Matty took Penelope for a walk, and I spent an hour and a half carving pumpkins in between breaking up arguments and shoving matches from the girls. #goodtimes

The girls had high hopes for their pumpkins this year, and I’m so happy I could make their pumpkin carving dreams come true!
Can you tell it’s Nemo??

And, finally, on Sunday evening the girls got to put on their Bingo and Bluey costumes and head out to score some candy.

We ended up having to take a short rain break and then walked in drizzle for some of the time, but overall it was a great night!
Before I go, please indulge me with a trip down the memory lane of Halloweens past.
