Happy Monday!
We had a great weekend and finally enjoyed a few rain free days.
But before we jump into the weekend, let’s rewind to last Tuesday, which was most definitely NOT rain free. Matty’s golf league has ended, so he was finally able to join us to go pick up our veggies at Cardinal Farms. We timed it just right and got there for the only 30 minutes of the day that it wasn’t raining. It was the perfect time to meet Lincoln, the farm’s friendliest piglet!

When Daddy plates the breakfast.

Matty took Lucy to school one day last week, and I snuck in exactly seven minutes of reading/cuddle time before Emily woke up. Now that’s my idea of seven minutes in Heaven!

She’s just the cutest little Cavapoo in all the land!

I love when Emily puts together a super adorable outfit.

We picked Lucy up from school a little early on Friday and kicked our weekend off right with a round of family flu shots! These girlies did awesome and there were no tears!

Friday was a beautiful sunny day so after flu shots we went to downtown Plymouth for pizza, ice cream, and scarecrows in the park. It was a great little Friday evening.
We went to our neighbor’s fifth birthday party on Saturday. It started at noon . . . and finally stopped raining at 11:30. By the time we got there the sun was out and the temp had gotten to 57 degrees . . . but it was 92 degrees in the pool! These kiddos swam in the heated pool for almost FOUR hours, while I spent some of the party sitting by the patio heaters watching them.

Those kiddos who had to get out of the pool for this picture were cold!

Sunday was another beautiful day, and we kicked it off with a trip to our town’s Pumpkin Fest. The girls had a blast playing games . . .

. . . and winning stuffies! I made the girls wear their purses for this trip, and they were responsible for holding on to their own tickets and all the pieces of candy they get at the booths along the way. It was a genius idea, if I do say so myself. It was also super cute to see them take out their tickets on their own to go play the games. And it was even cuter to see them each take out a dollar of their own money so they could buy one more ticket to do a bounce house.

After the games we went to go find Farmer Cindy and Farmer Rich at the farmer’s market. They had some familiar goats and piglets that we always see at the farm, but they also brought chickens to the festival and the girls got to hold them.

During our final lap the girls stopped to do a craft . . .

. . . and then Lucy joined the ladies to try some cardio drumming on the way out!

And the rest of our Sunday was spent cutting the grass, playing outside, going to the grocery, and me going to get a pedicure with my neighbor! It was a glorious day!
We’re ready for another busy week, but at least it’s going to be much dryer than last week!
XOXO
