Another year, another great Cedar Point trip in the books!
We started going to Cedar Point with our brother-in-law’s family when Lucy was two-years-old, and we look forward to it every year. In fact, we love it so much that we decided to go for three nights this year instead of just our standard two. #partyanimals
Despite what it looks like, I actually don’t feel like I took THAT many pictures for a four day trip. Maybe you’ll feel differently, though. ๐
Ok, here we go!
We left early Thursday morning, and Emily rode in style.

We arrived around 1:00, checked in and dropped off our bags, and then went to the beach while we waited for our room to be ready. I had packed us sandwiches and snacks in our cooler, so we enjoyed those before playing in the sand.

We were ready for some fun in the sun . . .

. . . and so was this guy!

It was a perfect beach day! It was HOT and the beach wasn’t too crowded.

See that turret on the right side behind Matty? Our room was the top corner window, so we were in a great location and had a view of the lake.

Other people starting arriving later in the afternoon. Believe it or not, there are still seven kids missing from this picture!

We ordered take out to eat on the beach and let the kiddos play, play, play. This was my worst nightmare!

The girls passed right out after a fun-filled first day. Side note: they each got to choose a giant Snoopy stuffy on their first trips to Cedar Point, and now they come back for a visit every year.

Friday morning breakfast with some of the little kiddos.

Here we are ready to head into the park for a HOT and HUMID day of rides.

Sweet Emmy Roses wanted to ride the Ferris Wheel SO bad. Matty and I sucked it up and took the girls on it. If we’re going to be high up, we’d prefer it to be fast so it’s over with quickly. The Ferris Wheel is the opposite of that.

Matty and I snuck away to ride The GateKeeper while the littles had a blast in Kiddy Kingdom.

The kids were old enough to do most of the kiddie rides by themselves this year, but Emmy wanted me to join her on the swings.

By about 1pm we were dripping with sweat and ready for a break. We went back to the hotel for lunch and then cooled off by the pool for a while. At 5:00 we went back into the park to meet up for the annual dinner at Famous Daves . . . here’s all 33 of us!! It’s quite possibly the only time the entire group is together on the trip.

Uncle Brian’s birthday is coming up, so we sang to him while we waited for our food.

After dinner we cooled off with some ice cream . . .

. . . and the girls picked out these adorable Cedar Point monkeys as their souvenirs.

Then I sucked it up again for a ride on the Sky Way. Ugh! We took Lucy and Tommy, and Aunt Sarah rode with Emily and Eleanor.

This is what an 85 degree day with 100% humidity makes me look like!

I caught a great picture of these guys as we walked back to the hotel.

Heading back to the park on Saturday morning. The guys used our early entry to ride Steel Vengeance, and we met up with them a little later in the morning with cousin Riley. Riley loves kids, and kids love Riley. It’s a win win!

Linus and Sally!

I don’t have too many pictures from the park during the day on Saturday. It was WAY more crowded than on Friday and was kind of a pain. At some point in the late afternoon we stopped for a snack in Frontier Land. I’ver never met a soft pretzel I didn’t love!

Late Saturday afternoon we cooled off at the beach before moving to the pool for a pizza delivery dinner.

Eleanor needed a power nap.

We ate pizza by the pool at 7pm and then, against our better judgement, headed back into the park for a bit before bed. The girls were SO tired, but it had finally cooled off and we all decided it would be nice to enjoy the park one last time before leaving in the morning.

This ride is called “Kite Eating Tree” and is the kiddos FAVORITE. It’s like a mini version of the Power Tower because it raises them all the way up . . . and then drops them down a bit . . . and then puts them back up . . . and then drops them down. They rode it so many times!

We got to see an awesome parade to celebrate Cedar Point’s 150th year!

And then we stopped at the beach to check out the dance party on the walk back to our hotel. These little ladies hung on until 10:30pm and then fell asleep the second their little heads hit their pillows!

Sunday morning we packed up and hit the road. We stopped to pick up Penelope from Rita’s house, and I was so happy to cuddle this little fluff ball . . . and she was happy to lick me!

What an awesome vacation! This was definitely the hottest weather we’ve had, but it was still so much fun. We’re already looking forward to next year!
XOXO
Looks like fun! My family and I are heading there soon. Going to make sure I eat all the soft pretzels!
