Happy Monday!
We had a pretty low key weekend, but we did squeeze in some fun at the Wyandotte Street Fair on Friday. It was the perfect day for a fair, and we had a great time with my mom, Carla, and the cousins.
The girls love a good face painting, but Aunt Carla convinced them to get their arms painted instead so that THEY could see the artwork too. Genius!

And then Carla and Sadie took the littles to the kids area while my mom and I walked around. What a treat!

I stopped a guy on the street and asked him to take a picture of us. He took one . . .

. . . and then did this! haha That’s a pro move and I’m definitely going to remember it!

There was Mexican food for lunch, there was ice cream at Stroh’s for dessert, and then we wrapped up the day with rock painting at Oma and Papas. What a great day!

I’ve been taking the girls to the art fair since they were born, and each phase has it’s own challenges. Newborn babies get overheated in their carseats and also need to be fed quite often. Older babies get fussy in their strollers and need to be home in time to nap. Toddlers refuse the stroller, need a million snacks, and still need to be home for nap. Lucy and Emmy are now at the age where they can hang at the fair for hours and are constantly on the go . . . they want to look at everything, play all the games, and eat all the food. I love it, but boy was I tired by the end of the day! We were at the fair from 10:30 until 3:00! I’ve already noticed that our summer adventures tire me out now more than in previous years because these girls can hang all day long and there’s no nap time for me to rest and recover! Mama needs her quiet time! ๐
Have a great week!
XOXO
