We’re at the cottage for the next week, but here’s a little trip down memory lane of 4th of Julys past.
Last year we needed to be at home for the 4th of July (for the first time in 19 years!), but we went to the cottage the week before the 4th and took a day trip to Frankfort and Lake Michigan.
On the actual 4th of July we started the day with a patriotic breakfast plate and then spent the day and evening hanging out with neighbors and watching fireworks.
A traditional 4th of July at the cottage . . .except for we stumbled upon a house that had TEN Bernese Mountain Dog puppies . . . and we spent the entire trip taking Lucy to go visit them!
It was HOT HOT HOT, and this was before we finally installed AC at the cottage. I think 2018 is the year that finally sealed the deal. It was also the year that we realized just how much of a sweaty child Emmy is!
Apparently my first 4th of July with two babies was a little crazy, because I could only find these three pictures!
Again, just a few pictures, but they’re so cute!
Lucy’s first 4th of July!!
And I don’t even have any pictures on my computer from before 2015, so who knows what the pictures are like before kiddos. There was probably a lot more bikinis and book reading and a lot less bottles and baby wipes. 😉
Thanks for taking a trip down memory lane with me; I’ll be back next Thursday.
Happy 4th of July!
