Down for the Count!

July 26, 2021 by Molly Leave a Comment

Happy Monday!

I’m feeling more like a functioning human being this morning after being hit hard by a sinus infection over the weekend. It came on kind of fast and took me OUT!

We met some friends at the beach on Thursday morning. My throat was a tiny bit sore and my nose was a bit runny, but was I sick or was it allergies?? . . . it’s a fun game to play.

I started feeling worse as the day went on, and this was me for basically the rest of the weekend.

Actually, I WISH that had been me all weekend. The pressure in my head/face/ears was so bad that I couldn’t sleep at all Thursday or Friday nights, and my stuffiness was so bad that I couldn’t taste a thing! I ended up going to Urgent Care on Saturday morning because I needed some sort of relief so I could sleep. They didn’t give it to me, though. The doctor said it was just a really bad sinus infection that was going around and recommended Sudafed to relieve the pressure from the fluid behind my ears. It finally kicked in and I got some relief Saturday evening, thank goodness!

Matty boy REALLY stepped up for three days to let me rest. Actually, the first two days there was no way I could function, and then yesterday he let me rest so that I could be ready to go for the week. Thank goodness it happened on a weekend . . . and on a weekend with zero plans, no less!

He took the girls to the pool a few times, out to lunch on Saturday, and basically took over all of my daily duties. I did feel guilty, but I also felt so bad physically that I couldn’t dwell on it too much.

Not pictured: the new stuffies that daddy bought them!

Now that I’m back in the land of the living, it’s time to catch up on some things, get back into my daily routine, . . . and put a bra back on! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Have a great week!

XOXO
