Happy Thursday!
Today I should really be doing an Eyes and Ears post for April. But . . . I feel like I haven’t been reading or watching anything that’s so good I want to tell you about it. I’ve liked some of the books I’ve been reading lately, but not LOVED any of them. Same with some shows we’ve been watching. Hopefully the slump ends soon!
In the meantime, we’ve been busy playing and soaking up the nice weather . . . and I’ve got some pictures to prove it!
At dance class, Lucy loves answering whatever question or doing whatever task is on the whiteboard. Last week it said, “Draw a picture of your pet or sibling in a tutu.” She drew a picture of Penelope Pudding in a tutu and nailed it!

I’ve been experimenting with sleeping in a bit longer in the mornings and doing my pilates at some point during the day. Emmy usually does Cosmic Kids Yoga while I do my workout, and she’s so cute!

Our neighbor got this swing for her birthday, and Emily loves it!

And so does her gang! Those four cuties on the swing will all be in Kindergarten together!

Synchronized gymnastics. Way to get your head in the game, Ems!!

We always say Penny’s half Cavapoo and half bear . . . and here’s the proof.

My parents got the girls these canvases in their Easter baskets. They did a great job painting them . . .

. . . and it only required this many paint brushes!

This was me living in bizarro world the other morning. Matty took Lucy to school, and Emily was still sleeping! I sat down on the couch to check an email and Penelope crawled up . . . so I just stayed there.

This happy girl finally woke up at 9:20!

Put something cozy on the floor, and Penelope will lay on it.

These little ladies wanted to join our neighborhood kids running club, which means they get up at 7am every Wednesday to run laps around the circle by our house for 30 minutes. Yesterday was the first day, and they were so excited!

Lucy has a lot to learn about pacing. She started out at a sprint and cashed out after four laps, which is just over a mile.

I think she wasn’t feeling the greatest afterward, so we talked about running slower so she could run longer. We’ll see how she does next week.

Emmy Roses was a running CHAMP! She ran six laps and loved every minute of it!

We got a new fridge for our garage, and the box has provided minutes of entertainment. That’s right . . . minutes, not hours. I should have let the delivery company take it with them! To be fair, it’s so big that it won’t fit through our door so they can only play with it when they’re outside . . . and then they’re usually off riding bikes or doing gymnastics with friends.

Lucy’s skipping school on Friday, and we’re heading up to the cottage to put the boat in. And not just any boat . . . a BRAND NEW boat! Matty is just a tiny bit excited.
Have a great weekend!
XOXO
