How did this even happen?!
I’m pretty sure it was just the other day that she looked like this . . .

Side note: As I was looking for the picture above, I came across this next one and Matty and I got a kick out of it. You know our love for Costco runs deep. Emily was born via C-section on March 31, and here I am feeding her at Costco on April 5 . . . a mere FIVE days later! Not even giving birth can keep me away!

Anyway, our sweet baby girl turned four and we did our best to make her day special.
Here’s her early morning gift opening session.

The ONLY thing that Emily asked for was a unicorn coloring book she had seen at Costco. It was actually a Lisa Frank coloring/sticker book. We opened it up this morning and the stickers took me straight back to my childhood! I’m so glad my girls get to experience the world of Lisa Frank as well. Now bring on the trapper keepers! 😉

Aunt Sarah and Uncle Brian sent her some gymnastics gear, including this adorable leotard!

As a special surprise, we picked our little bunny up from school around noon so she could join us for Emily’s birthday adventure!

It started off with lunch at Barrio. Chips, salsa, tacos, and drinks . . . is it Emmy’s birthday or mine?!

After lunch we walked over to Creatopia and surprised the girls with some pottery painting! This was their first time doing it, and they had a lot of fun. Emily picked out a unicorn . . .

. . . and Lucy chose a dolphin piggy bank.

They worked for a little over an hour and did a great job! Here’s Emmy’s rainbow unicorn . . .

. . . and Lucy’s diseased dolphin! hahaha Also, check out the paint on her mask.

The third and final stop was for giant cupcakes from The Cupcake Station. Emily chose (and devoured!) a classic Party Cupcake, and Lucy savored a Bumpy Cupcake. I had a nibble of each, and they were delicious!

A little play time in the park and then it was time to head home.

After we got home our sweet neighbors brought over a gift for Emily that included play make up . . . and it was a HUGE hit! Unfortunately, I took this picture before they discovered the eyebrow pencil . . . which has since been properly disposed of! 😉

And that’s it! Then we did baths and put our four and five year olds to bed!
Here’s a quick look at Emily’s birthdays throughout the years. She just keeps getting cuter!
