Happy Monday!
I hope everyone had a great Easter. We had AMAZING weather, which made up for the fact that we didn’t get to see much family.
Friday was a beautiful day, and we spent it in town doing an Easter egg hunt around the local shops. It was put on by Lucy’s school, and she was so excited to see one of her teachers . . . at the bar! haha

After the egg hunt it was outdoor playtime, and then we we came inside to decorate cookies . . .

. . . and eggs!

On Saturday morning we stopped by Lucy’s school to snap a quick picture with a real bunny.

And then Lucy and I had to wait 40 minutes to be called back for her eye appointment. Ugh!

After her eye appointment, Lucy and I drove to Ikea to meet my parents. My mom wasn’t feeling the greatest, so we decided to just stay home for Easter. BUT, they had already purchased the ham and had baskets for the girls so a quick meet up was necessary. Lucy was very excited about her new sloth stuffy!

We got home around 3:00 and spent the rest of the afternoon and evening playing outside. We had friends over for dinner and didn’t even want to go inside to look at the sushi menu to order our meals . . .so we checked out the menu on our phones and wrote down our order on the driveway! Until it rains, the whole neighborhood will know our sushi order!

What a mess of a bunny carrot picture! The girls look crazy, golf is in the background, Penelope’s trying to get the carrots . . . oh well!

Excited for the Easter Bunny to come . . . and for her new stuffy from Oma and Papa!

These little ladies were so excited to find their Easter baskets!
We spent some time going through their baskets, and then they got right to work with kinetic sand and coloring. Matty was getting to work on the blackberries in the background.

And then my phone rang, and it was Lucy’s friend from school (who lives across the street from us!) and he was FaceTiming Lucy to see what she got in her Easter basket. SO CUTE!!!

And then we were outside for most of the rest of the day. Lunch was on the front porch and dinner was on the back deck.

Grandma Rita joined us!

We did our egg hunt later in the afternoon, and these girls were happy for more candy.
And then these sweet friends played for a long time while we enjoyed some drinks with our neighbors.

It was certainly an unconventional Easter (again!), but it was a really good day!
The girls are off from school this week, and I’ll be taking the week off from blogging. A much deserved vacation for everyone!
See you next week!
XOXO
