Life Lately

Happy Monday!

I hope everyone had a great weekend. We had some beautiful weather and spent most of the day outside each day.

Since I was so distracted last week, I have quite a few photos to catch up on. There’s been a lot of cuteness going on around here!

Emily got a new trundle bed, and we love it! It looks so cute in her room, and then the bottom mattress pulls out easily for Lucy to sleep on when she wants.

Two weekends ago we had some friends over, and Lucy put on a little magic show for everyone.

These four little ladies ate pizza and some amazingly huge cupcakes and played HARD for almost four hours! We ended the evening with a late night story on Brandon’s phone. Our friend Brandon wrote the coolest children’s book last year, and he’s currently finishing up his second one. We got a private reading, and the story and pictures are fantastic!

Sweet Emmy Roses sound asleep on the top bunk.

Do you see why I decided to get her hair cut??

I splurged on a new front door decoration from Etsy, and I’m so happy with the way it turned out. The shop is called Sweetie Pie Collection, and she has so many cute options.

I walked downstairs and found that Emmy had set up shop in Matty’s office and was singing Penelope a song about unicorns flying through the air. #meltmyheart

They love one another so much!

Penelope had a wild Friday night of upside down chewing . . .

. . . before falling asleep during Lucy’s school’s virtual story time.

The whole fam went for a four mile walk on Saturday morning. The girls made it about two miles on their scooters before hopping in the stroller for a snack.

Matty stopped at the playground with them on the way home.

And then after lunch we spent the entire afternoon outside with neighbors. There was tag playing, roller blading, sidewalk chalking, and cupcake eating. But apparently no photo taking. Oops!

Sunday mornings are for painting nails!

Can you figure out which one of these stuffies is actually alive?! 😉

Once Lucy’s nails dried we worked on her very first book report. So cute!

Again, after lunch it was outside for the afternoon. I hung out for a little bit before meeting my mom to do a little shopping.

What a great weekend!

We’ve got a fairly busy week ahead of us, but my planner is filled out and ready to keep me on track.

Have a great week, and Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

XOXO

Classroom Before and After

Happy First Day of School! I’m coming up for a very quick breath of air to share my classroom before and after pics. I signed my contract at 3:30pm last Tuesday . . . that’s one week ago today. There was a lot of excitement and a lot of tears. In the blink of one […]

Mrs. Kissel: 2nd Grade Teacher!

Surprise! There are three Kissel ladies going back to school this year. Emily starts Kindergarten, Lucy’s in 2nd grade…and I’m coming out of retirement to teach second grade!!! (Not Lucy’s class!) I was hired Monday afternoon, and the amount of overwhelm and range of emotions I’ve felt since then has been, well, overwhelming! To those […]
