Happy Monday!
We had a great weekend celebrating our soon to be four-year-old. Emily’s birthday is this Wednesday, but we had some family over this weekend to celebrate.
The festivities started on Thursday after school. Grandpa Gary and Grandma Karen stopped by for dinner and a visit before leaving for Florida.

I decorated Emmy’s cake on Saturday morning and had my little helpers get busy crushing Oreos.

When you’re turning four and LOVE Uno, a Draw 4 cake just makes sense! It’s obviously homemade, but I love everything about it! Shout out to my SIL Carla for suggesting I use crushed Oreo’s rather than black frosting.

Emily’s party wasn’t until later in the day on Saturday, which worked out well because Lucy got invited to go bowling for her friend’s birthday! This was a first for us . . . I dropped her off at the bowling alley and then left! My big girl bowled, ate pizza, and then drove with her friend’s family back to their house for cake before they brought her home. She had a blast!

Look what a cute gift we picked out for her friend!

Our sweet Emmy Roses all dressed up and ready for her party!

Oma and Papa arrived and they got right down to business playing Uno.

After dinner Emily got to open lots of fun gifts . . . including this color changing unicorn night light!

After gifts I wanted to take a few minutes to get some family pictures . . . and this is what the girls started doing. They shaped up fairly quickly once they found out they couldn’t have cake until pictures were done! ๐

Our little family!

Grandma Rita

Three generations!

Uncle Jim and Aunt Donna

The menfolk

Being a mama has been TOUGH lately, but then they give me sweet pictures like these and it’s all ok.
Happy to have her chocolate cake and Blue Moon ice cream!

The party ended with some roller blading, roller skating, and dog walking.

Sunday morning started with a tea party with Emmy’s new tea set!

After lunch Lucy and I went to Target for her to buy a sister gift for Emmy on Wednesday. It was a little windy!

While we were at Target, Matty took Ems to Tractor Supply Co and they got to see baby chicks!
After our shopping trips, we had cookies out on the driveway with a bunch of neighbors to celebrate Emmy’s birthday.
What fun weekend celebrating our sweet girl!
Wednesday is her actual birthday, and we’ve got one more little surprise up our sleeve to make her day special.
Have a great week!
XOXO
