Happy Monday, friends!
We have been having the most amazing weather, and we took full advantage of it this weekend.
My mom came over to get another round of iPhone lessons while the girls were at school. She had a furry little buddy her entire time here.
Like mother, like daughter. This is how I spend a lot of my evenings.

We took Emmy with us to test drive a car on Friday, and she had a blast. Look at all that leg room! Also, she kept saying we were at the “driving range,” which made us laugh. (Side note: Yes, she’s in a booster seat with a seat belt rather than the 5 point harness. We threw that in the back of our car for her to ride in during the test drive so that we didn’t have to unhook her carseat at the dealer. It was a very short ride.)

Saturday was gorgeous, and we spent all of it outside. Matty and the girls walked Penelope in the morning, and then the girls and I helped our neighbors with some yard work while Matty cut our grass. The girls each earned a sleeve of 40 nickels, and they were so proud and excited to feed their piggy banks!

We made reservations for the Detroit Zoo on Sunday morning, and the weather was amazing! It was November, I had to dig out shorts, and there was already a Christmas tree up. It was all kinds of confusing!

After the zoo we ate lunch outside at Crispelli’s, and it was DELICIOUS!

Lucy admired (and devoured!) two pieces of deep dish cheese pizza. Matty and I split a thin crust margherita and a caesar salad, and we were in Heaven!

Ems didn’t eat a ton, but she did have a good time playing with her napkin.

After the zoo we went home and walked to the playground, and then after that it was kids running around our houses laughing, screaming, and having a blast. It was a great day that made for two tired kiddos!

I can’t even believe this, but Emily is at my parents for the day/night today! That means that while Lucy is at school, the girls clothes, toys, and books are getting PURGED! In order for new toys and gifts to come in at Christmas, old ones must leave. It’s simple math, right?!
Have a great week!
XOXO
