Happy Monday!
Today’s post is coming at you from my NEW LAPTOP! #finally
Isn’t she beautiful?! Yes, she’s gold!

You guys, now I can take a picture on my phone and it appears on my computer immediately! No more manually loading photos. It’s a whole new world over here, and you all are going to benefit.
Let’s catch up a bit, shall we?
I was a super cool mama on Wednesday because I let Lucy stay home from school so she could go visit Oma and Papa with us. I made it very clear that this was a ONE time thing, and she was so happy! The girls had a great time playing, especially in Oma’s winter clothing basket.

When we got home later that afternoon, Lucy said she wanted to “draw a really quick Santa” on our driveway . . . and then she did this. We were really impressed!

Speaking of Santa, my dad bought this decoration for the girls a few weeks ago as a joke, but we went ahead and hung it up. A few nights ago the girls had their very first LEGIT sister fight. There was screaming, tackling, wrestling, and an attempted biting . . . all over Barbie dolls! I had the good fortune of walking in to witness it; Matty is disappointed that he only heard it. Regardless, we quickly flipped the sign to “naughty,” and the girls were so mad about it! Matt and Molly Kissel . . . traumatizing their children one poor parenting decision at a time.

Yes, I decorated for Christmas last week! And, yes, our tree is missing its topper. We need a new one. Other than that, I’m happy with how this little area turned out.

When you work out, take two walks, and decorate your house all in the same day. I had a personal record on Thursday evening, and the tired feet to prove it.

We had amazing weather this past Friday, so we put up the outdoor lights. Of course, it required a trip to Lowes to get replacement lights so we decided to take Penelope with us since they’re a pet friendly store. She was a little unsure at first, but ended up doing great!

This little tree in the corner of our yard is my favorite at Christmas time. It’s already gotten so much taller in the two years we’ve lived here!

It was a long week, and this is how we watched a show before bed on Friday evening.

I was so excited for the girls to be in bed so I could have a Friday night cocktail on the couch and veg out . . . and then Lucy pulled the ultimate bedtime stall tactic by coming downstairs saying she wanted to do her weekend Math homework. How could I say no?!

Penelope sat on two stairs to admire the tree.

And then made herself cozy on our sunroom couch . . .

. . . and on our loft couch. If anyone in this family knows how to cuddle up, it’s Penelope Pudding!

Emmy had some fun with the Christmas decorations this weekend.

Saturday was another great weather day. We took a long walk . . .

. . . hung out at the playground for a bit . . .

. . . and then woke up to this on Sunday morning!

It was the perfect packing snow, and I think everyone in our entire neighborhood made a snowman.

Finally, Lucy drew this picture of our family as a joke . . . but I think it accurately portrays us lately. We’ve been in a bit of a funk lately. Mostly me, but the girls’ behavior hasn’t helped, and I’m hoping we’ve hit rock bottom and will start pulling out of it this week. Here’s hoping our next family drawing has smiles and not dead eyes! haha

Lucy only has two days of school this week, and then she’s off for Thanksgiving. It’ll be so nice to have her home for five days in a row!
Have a great week!
XOXO
