Happy Monday!
Lucy and Matty both have today off, so we’re going to take advantage of the nice weather and try out a new pumpkin patch. The public schools in our town are going back to school face to face for the first time this morning, so we’re hoping the pumpkin patch won’t be too crowded.
We had a fun filled weekend that was only made better by the amazing weather. Has anyone stopped to think that the weather has been one of the few good things to come out of 2020 so far? I have pictures of us playing outside in March . . . the summer was amazing . . . and fall has been beautiful. I’m not sure what will happen when we can’t be outside all. day. long.
Ok, on to our weekend! This made me smile when I walked into the play room on Friday morning. Lucy is learning SO MUCH in Kindergarten, and seeing her practice her cute little name makes my mama heart happy.

Lucy’s school decided against having photographers come for school pictures this year. A major bummer, for sure, so her teachers decided to take matters into their own hands. The email they sent out said they purchased a navy blue background to take a “classic” school picture . . . which they did . . . but they didn’t mention this adorable full body pose set up! If they had, I definitely would have put Lucy in a long sleeve shirt to cover up the tattoo that her Spanish teacher gave her! It was 75 degrees on Friday, so I didn’t put her in anything very fall-ish. Never the less, she’s still super cute!

Emmy asked for me to put my phone on camera mode, and she ran off with it and then came back with this cute pic! How scruffy is that puppy?! She’s going for her first full grooming on Tuesday.

She’s got curls just like me! We tried a new harness on her, and she made a great little walking buddy to the park on Friday afternoon.

A little blurry, but Emmy played hard at the park.

Matt golfed all day Friday and was at a bonfire all evening. I had a friend and her kiddos come over for a play date and pizza . . . and didn’t take a single picture! Then, I let the girls stay up late and we took Penelope for a night time walk to look at the Halloween lights on our street . . . and I didn’t take a single picture! I did take a picture of Penelope watching Sweet Magnolias with me on the couch, though!

This is how I end up on the couch most nights too.

Saturday morning we walked to a new playground we discovered, and these monkeys had a great time. Lucy is pretty uncomfortable with her eye patch on so this was a good distraction for her.

We did our family pictures late Saturday afternoon. This was the first time we haven’t done them first thing in the morning . . . and it’ll be the last. The girls were not at their best. We definitely got some good pictures, which I’ll share later at some point, but we also got a lot of duds! Here’s our sweet photographer who drove us all over her property to get pictures.

Look at the girls’ grimaces! They were like that for the entire first set of pictures.

This one cracks me up!

After pictures we went to Grandma Rita’s for dinner. This was Penelope’s first time there, and she made herself right at home.

The girls played outside with neighbors allll morning on Sunday. We went to a friend’s house in the afternoon where the outdoor play continued. I only remembered to snap a picture during a snack break.

Wow, that was a lot! I’m happy that we have one more day to prepare for the week because I never made it to the grocery over the weekend.
Our big event for the week is Penelope’s first grooming. We’re excited but also a little nervous. I belong to a Cavapoo Facebook page, and people are always posting their grooming horror stories where their dog gets completely shaved. Here’s hoping it all goes well!
Have a great week!
XOXO
