Happy Thursday!
Our amazing weather continues, and we cannot get enough of it. If we aren’t sleeping, eating, or getting ready to go somewhere then we are outside playing.
On Monday I went to do some solo shopping at Birch Run, and it was glorious! The weather was perfect, and I walked the entire outlet mall and only moved my car once . . . and that was only because all of the soap I purchased at Bath and Body Works was too heavy to carry around. Finally around 2:00 I realized I hadn’t eaten anything since my tiny breakfast. I took a quick break for some Jimmy Johns in the car. I had the windows down and listened to my audio book. Side note: I haven’t had Jimmy John’s in forever, and it turns out I could only eat about half of the sandwich. Not because I was full, but because my jaw was sore from chewing all of that bread! Does that happen to anyone else??

Emmy found the cutest pillow ever while watching her bedtime show the other night.

Penelope loves to hide underneath pillows on the couch.

Lucy was so excited when she woke up on Tuesday because one of her front teeth is a little wiggly. It’s just a little bit, but we can definitely tell. She’s been dying to lose a tooth, so this made her day!

We have a fifteen minute window in between dropping Lucy off and Emmy starting preschool, so we make the most of it in the car.

Lucy colored for almost the entire 30 minutes of Emmy’s dance class on Tuesday evening. Their dance studio has two large garage doors that they have open, so it’s almost like sitting outside while we’re waiting.

Laundry during a pandemic . . . ballet clothes and masks. A lady at Costco gave me a hot tip of washing our masks in a lingerie bag. It worked out WAY better than just throwing them in with the rest of the clothes.

Do you see the green frog on our deck gate?! He is stalking me! I’ve found him on our sliding door, sunning himself on our deck, in my mums, and on our deck chairs. I’ve asked Matty repeatedly to move him to the woods, but he won’t do it because he thinks the frog is cute. You know what’s not cute? . . . going to water your flowers or open your gate and having a frog leap out at you! Today Lucy was playing out on the deck and then told me she found a frog on the gate and moved it to the woods with her shovel and bucket. Yes!! Thank you, Lulu!!

I spent about $10 on all of these little pumpkins at Trader Joe’s yesterday, and they kept Emmy busy for hours! She played “Pumpkin Patch” on the driveway, took them for a walk in this little wagon, and then washed them after lunch.

And then when Lucy got home from school they probably spent another hour out there washing them again. Even if they don’t play with the pumpkins anymore, it was still $10 well spent!

The girls are staying at my parents on Saturday while Matty and I head to the cottage to do some major cleaning out. It’s darn near impossible to do that with kiddos around, so hopefully we’re productive.
Have a great weekend!
XOXO
