Happy Thursday . . . and Happy September!
Even though life has been slower lately, the days still seem to be flying by. I cannot believe it’s September already!
We’ve had a bit of a busy week, and I’m ready for some rest and relaxation this weekend!
The girls randomly asked if we could make cupcakes on Monday. I didn’t have any cake mixes on hand, so we decided to make everything from scratch. They were delicious! It’s a good thing that Monday happened to be a day where all the neighborhood kiddos were out playing together, because we ended up with 30 cupcakes . . . and that’s just too many cupcakes for one household!

Penelope Pudding finished up puppy school Monday evening. She worked hard to learn how to hug other dogs, get the zoomies while on her leash, and share the water bowl. In all seriousness, though, she socializes with other dogs so well and we’re very grateful for that!

Our little princesses got their royal haircuts on Tuesday, and we all love their fresh new looks.
Penelope got a little trim this week as well! She went to the groomers for the first time and got the “Face, Feet, and Fanny” package. #notkidding
She’s not quite old enough for a full grooming yet, but needed a little cleaning up in those three areas. I had to leave her there for an hour, which I didn’t love, but she sure did look cute when I picked her up!

Some rare sisterly love while at the park yesterday. Actually, sisterly love isn’t rare at all when we’re out in public . . . but it definitely disappears the second we get back in our house.
We had Lucy’s Kindergarten meet and greet last night, and I think she’s going to have a great year! Her teachers are so nice, and she already knows several kids in her class.
Alright, we’re heading to the lake for one last weekend of (hopefully!) rest and relaxation before we start our next “new normal.” Is anyone else tired of that term?!
I’ll be back next Thursday with all the first day of school details. Have a great long weekend!
XOXO
