Happy Monday!
Just a quick post for you today because we had a very laid back weekend. My parents took the girls overnight on Saturday, and Matty and I very much enjoyed a little break from our little ladies! We walked Penelope, ran some errands, read, napped, and went out to dinner with friends.
Not too much to report, but here we go . . .
Here is Matty on a conference call . . .in his lazy boy . . . with the golf channel on . . . eating chocolate chip cookie dough that I brought him while I was making cookies. Working from home is hard, y’all!

Lucy chose some super cute school supplies!

I’m going to miss these lazy mornings once school starts. They love watching a show in our bed while daddy works!

I went to pick up the girls on Sunday afternoon, and they were so proud of the fairy garden they had made in Oma and Papa’s sand table.

Lucy made sure I got a close up of the green flowers, which were the fairy potties!

This cutie was quietly playing in the sand when I arrived . . . and then THREW UP in the car on the drive home! UGH!!! This is the second time she’s done this, and thankfully the first time scarred me enough to keep an emergency vomit kit in the back of the car. My kit contains a bucket, paper towel, baby wipes, a ziploc bag filled with grocery bags and disposable gloves, and a towel. I pulled over and cleaned Emmy up as best I could and then covered up her messy clothes and carseat with the towel. The good news is that she only threw up once. The bad news was that we still had about 45 minutes left to our drive.

We got home and Emmy got right in the bath and then I spent an hour cleaning out her carseat. After a little rest and some dinner, she was totally fine! I grabbed some new school clothes for the girls, and they were super excited about their matching outfits and unicorn shoes.

This picture was taken by Emily and is a little blurry, but I still think it’s so cute!

Does anyone else feel like I’ve been off my blogging game the past few months? I’ve not done anything interesting or special! My goal once school starts, is to make the blog more exciting. Here’s hoping I can do it!
We’ve got a busy week ahead of us: Penelope’s last puppy class, Penelope’s first grooming, hair cuts for both girls, and Lucy’s meet the teacher night . . . all before leaving for the cottage on Thursday. The weather is looking awesome, and we’ll be soaking up our last bit of summer vacation.
Have a great week!
