. . . find friends with pools or lakes!
Happy Thursday, friends!
Our only goal this week has been to find some sort of water to plant ourselves in.
Check out that temperature!

Due to the Coronavirus, our neighborhood pool is closed on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday so we have been seeking alternate ways to keep cool. When we’re not outside, we’ve been doing a lot of arts and crafts. Emmy made my mom an elephant, and I think she did a pretty good job!

The girls created a mini spa session with their cucumbers during dinner.

On Tuesday afternoon I kept cool by running a few quick errands BY MYSELF! I saw this sign at Home Goods, and it made me chuckle. I didn’t buy it, but I kind of wish I had!

Yesterday we had a play date at my friend Marie’s house, and the girls started it off right with a “Ladybug Parade!”

Then there was a lot of swimming, swinging, trampolining, and popsicles . . . all followed up with a break for rainbow popcorn!

After our playdate, we had a 90 minute layover at home for me to unpack and repack our beach bag with dry suits and towels before heading to the Heinbuch’s house to go out on their boat. Immediately upon jumping into the waaaay too warm lake water, it started to rain! We’ve been waiting like three weeks for some rain, but it was a bummer it had to come while we were on the lake. It didn’t stop us from hanging out for a bit, though.

And then we stayed for pizza and drinks and put the girls to bed way too late. #summertime
Have a great weekend, everyone. Oh, and just in case you need a reminder . . . we bring Penelope home on TUESDAY!!! The excitement is out of control over here!
XOXO
