Happy Monday!!
When I was thinking about our weekend recap post I didn’t think I had much to share, but it turns out I have a lot of fun pictures . . . so let’s get right to it!
Thursday morning Matty suggested we make our own breakfast burritos. He never eats breakfast, so when Matty actually suggests we make something I don’t say no. We made bacon, scrambled eggs, and hash browns . . . all rolled together into breakfast burrito perfection!
Speaking of Matty and breakfast . . . I asked him to get some muffins started on Saturday morning because I was hungry but wanted to finish getting ready for the day. He had a mishap with the coconut flour, and breakfast took a bit longer to prepare!

Some sweet sisterly love was going on here the other day.

Lucy was practicing letters, and Emmy was doing some coloring.

We had an epic Play Doh session. Lucy was playing baker, and Ems was playing dentist.

Sometimes dinner looks like this . . .

. . . and sometimes it looks like this! ๐

Lucy had a grand idea for a fort, and I helped her execute it.

And then the girls had some iPad time in it later in the day.

I set up a water color station at the kitchen table, and the girls had a good time coming and going to that for a few days.

We keep our chocolate chips in that cabinet above the fridge so that they are not easily accessible. Friday was a particularly trying day, so I actually got out the step stool to get out the bag and indulge a bit. It was that or a margarita . . . I went with the lesser of the two evils. Also, it was 11am!

The girls had a blast pretending to ride roller coasters on You Tube. Hopefully we’ll still make it to our annual Cedar Point vacation in August. The uncertainty is killing me.

As a special treat Matty and Lucy camped out in the loft on Friday night and Ems and I slept in the guest room. The girls had a blast but definitely didn’t sleep as well as normal . . . which means Matty and I were definitely excited for bedtime on Saturday.
Me: “Matty, can I use this picture on my blog.”
Matty: “Sure, I look badass!”

You guys. We made it like 38 days, but yesterday I caved and allowed Grandma Rita to drive out for a visit. She brought her own chair and sat in it for a bit while the girls ate lunch. It was weird, and I felt terrible reminding the girls to stay far enough away. After she left, Lucy kept saying she wished could have given Grandma a real hug. ๐

We did a 2.5 mile walk yesterday afternoon. The girls spent about half the time in the stroller and then walked the rest of the way. It’s a good thing we have nothing but time!

All in all, not too shabby of a weekend. It’s really just a never ending weekend, though, isn’t it?
Check back tomorrow for a special cookie recipe post!
