Happy Monday!
And happy MARCH! January went by at a snail’s pace for me, but February flew by in the blink of an eye! Before you know it we’ll be cruising right on into spring, and I am ready for it.
I hope everyone had a great weekend. Ours was fairly busy, but also super fun. We randomly decided to take the girls snow tubing on Saturday morning, and we had the BEST time! More on that in a bit, though.
First, let’s talk about my Thursday morning. It was one of those days where everything was going so wrong that it was almost comical. The roads were bad and schools were closed, so my mom wasn’t able to make the drive out here to watch the girls. Thursdays are supposed to be my days to go to the library and get some school work done and try to learn more about this new blog. So that was strike one.
Strikes two, three, and four all occurred within an hour of one another: Emily got a bad bloody nose, there was a giant spilled milk mess at breakfast, and then a potty accident that left peeps all over the tower and the floor in the kitchen. We had friends coming over soon, and I was running around like a crazy mama losing her mind!
But, we powered through and our day eventually got better! After some much needed afternoon rest time, we rallied with some smoothies and water painting.

Emily’s hair was looking super cute for school on Friday!

After school we did a Target run and took advantage of the BOGO 50% off swimsuit sale. I let each of my little ladies choose their own suit, and they were both so excited! Also, Emily’s has snaps at the bottom for easy potty access which is a genius move!
Friday was also my designated day to have the girls go through all the spring/summer clothes from last year. It took a lot of patience and a lot of candy bribes, but we got it done.

Saturday morning we were up bright and early to take the girls snow tubing at Hawk Island County Park in Lansing. They opened at 10am, and we wanted to be there ready and waiting. It was cold, but nice and sunny. The girls were so excited!

The warming lodge had some cute murals on the walls.
Here’s a picture of what the hill looked like. There were four tubing lanes, and one “magic carpet” conveyor belt that took us back up to the top. They only let 120 people in at a time, and it never took longer than five or ten minutes to get back up to the top.

We all had a blast! We stayed about an hour and a half and did ten runs down the hill. I have a great video of all of us doing it, but it should come as no surprise to you that I haven’t yet figured out how to upload videos here. I did post it on my Facebook and Instagram pages if you’re so inclined to go check it out. And you should be, because Emmy Roses is pretty darn cute in it! ๐
After tubing we went to Chipotle for lunch and then stopped at Costco on the way home. We got home around 3pm, and we were DONE for the day!
Yesterday morning we had a little baby sprinkle for my friend Lisa. I must have been having too much fun catching up with all my friends because I forgot to take any pictures!
While I was out to breakfast, Matty took the girls to the grocery and rewarded their good behavior with some delicious looking donuts!

We’ve got a pretty standard week ahead of us. I hope you have a great one!
XOXO
