Emily Rose is THREE!

March 30, 2020 by Molly 3 Comments

Tomorrow our sweet Emmy Roses turns three years old! I cannot believe how quickly the time has flown by while somehow seeming like forever ago that Ems was a tiny baby.

Newborn Emmy!

Ems loves her scooter, bike, stuffies, and baby dolls. She is obsessed with oatmeal, cucumbers with Ranch, and Frozen 2. She’s entered a bit of a whiny stage lately, but overall is so happy and smiley.

1 Year Old

If we had to describe Emily Rose in one word, there is no doubt that both Matty and I would say . . . GOOFY! She does the silliest things, has the strangest mannerisms and facial expressions, and can crack all of us up with the way she uses inflection in her voice to get her point across.

2 Years Old

Emily’s birthday interview did not disappoint. I’ve written her answers exactly as she told them to me. She granted me this interview while she was busy coloring a picture of a giraffe, and I’m not sure she looked up at me the entire time I was asking her questions.

3 Years Old!

How old are you turning? 3

What do you want to be when you grow up? I want a unicorn farm!

Who are your friends? Mrs. Walker (her teacher), Lulu, Daddy, and Mommy

What’s your favorite food? Pizza!

What’s your favorite color? Purple

What’s your favorite book? The ballerina one (Note, she hasn’t asked for us to read her this book in AGES!)

What’s your favorite song? Twinkle Twinkle

What’s your favorite show? Puppy Dog Pals

What’s your favorite movie? Frozen 2! I LOVE Frozen 2! Olaf says that turtles breathe through their BUTTS!

What’s your favorite thing to do with Daddy? Play Hide and Seek. Oh wait, I like to snuggle with Daddy too!

What’s your favorite thing to do with Mommy? I like when mommy rocks me

What’s your favorite thing to do with Lulu? Play Kitties!

If you could take a trip anywhere, where would you go? Costco!

What kind of pet would you like? A nice fish named Mr. Tweeters

What do you like about yourself? When I play Hide and See all by myself.

I told you she was sweet! Emily’s family birthday party was supposed to be yesterday, but obviously got cancelled due to the quarantine. We’ll be making her day as special as possible tomorrow. There’ll still be cake and ice cream, we’ll support local restaurants by getting carry out pizza and salad from Buddy’s, and we’ll set up all our devices so that the family can sing Happy Birthday and watch her blow out her candles.

Oh, and she’s going to FLIP OUT when she sees the gift we got her! (No, it’s not a puppy!) Come on back on Thursday to see what it is. 🙂

Have a great week. Stay safe and stay sane!

XOXO

Classroom Before and After

Happy First Day of School! I’m coming up for a very quick breath of air to share my classroom before and after pics. I signed my contract at 3:30pm last Tuesday . . . that’s one week ago today. There was a lot of excitement and a lot of tears. In the blink of one […]

Mrs. Kissel: 2nd Grade Teacher!

Surprise! There are three Kissel ladies going back to school this year. Emily starts Kindergarten, Lucy’s in 2nd grade…and I’m coming out of retirement to teach second grade!!! (Not Lucy’s class!) I was hired Monday afternoon, and the amount of overwhelm and range of emotions I’ve felt since then has been, well, overwhelming! To those […]
