Happy Monday!
The blog transfer is still in process. I’m waiting for the designer to send me previews of how it will look with the colors I chose. It all sounds so professional, doesn’t it?
We had a productive weekend here at the Kissel house!
The grandparents took the girls Saturday during the day and over night. We had a whole list of things we would have liked to do while they were away:
Go to Jolly Pumpkin Nap
Go to Warby Parker (Matty needs reading glasses!)
Nap
Go shopping
Nap
Lay in bed and watch a show
Nap
Any of those choices would have been awesome. Instead . . . we painted Emily’s room! Matty and I are a good painting team, and we made quick work of two coats of a very light gray. It looks so fresh and bright in her room now!
Ok, I’m getting ahead of myself. Here’s what we’ve been up to the rest of the time.
We went to a play date on Thursday where Lucy wore the most beautiful princess dress . . .

. . . Emmy wore an Anna dress the entire time . . .

. . . and they made Valentines!
Seriously, I’m not sure what I would even do with a boy baby!

We stopped at the library on the way home, and Emmy did a little light reading in the car. I’m about halfway through this book, and so far it is GOOD!

We caught Matty red handed in the pantry with our bag of chocolate chips. We were made for each other!

Emmy’s school is on winter break this week, so they had their Valentine’s Day party on Friday. She was super excited about these heart glasses that one of her friends passed out.

And she was equally excited to go through her bag of valentines once we got home.

We built our first snowman of the year on Friday afternoon. May I present Queen Olaf of Arendelle! Their name choice, not mine.

There’s nothing better than a cozy Saturday morning.

My parents took Lucy to Andy’s basketball game on Saturday. Apparently she enjoyed it for about 10 minutes and then was ready to go.

Here’s my cutie pie nephew at the free throw line with his coach/dad in the background!

Meanwhile, Emmy was having a great time at Grandma Rita’s house!

We spent the day painting Emmy’s room and then went out to dinner with our neighbors before our neighborhood Euchre party. They surprised me with an ice cream cake at the restaurant! Like, genuinely surprised me. I had no idea that was coming. I think we hit the neighbor jackpot!

We were going to do our taxes Sunday morning before we drove down to get the girls, but we just didn’t have it in us. How awesome would we have been if we’d painted a bedroom AND done our taxes all in the same 24 hour period??!!
Here’s a somewhat decent picture of Emmy’s new walls. The color is Nebulous White by Sherwin Williams, but it’s a very light gray. We’ll put all of her pictures back on the walls next weekend after the paint has had ample time to settle.

And that’s all she wrote!
I’m helping out in Lucy’s class this morning for her Valentine’s Day party, and her teacher said I could bring Emily with me. The girls are SO EXCITED to get to go to school together. Lucy keeps listing off all the things she wants to show Emmy in her classroom. I hope it turns out as great as they think it will!
Have a great week!
XOXO
