Happy Monday!
Thank you so much for your patience during the blog transition. It has been an extremely frustrating experience because I just don’t understand a lot of this technical stuff (or its terminology!), but I think I’ve FINALLY worked out a lot of the kinks.
A few housekeeping issues to discuss:
- I have a new email subscription service. Please use the box on the right side of the page (or possibly at the bottom if you’re on a mobile device) to enter your email so you’ll get notifications whenever I publish a new post.
- The recipes page at the top will be getting a makeover soon so that there will be links to any and all recipes I post/have posted.
- Apparently, I need to have “privacy policy” page since I’m asking people to submit their email. You’ll probably see a tab for that appear at the top before too long. It’s necessary to make the blog a bit more “official” I think.
Ok, let’s get to the cuteness, shall we! We had a pretty good week and an exceptionally good weekend here at the Kissel house.
Lucy turned in her one and only homework assignment for school last week. She had her own ideas, and I just helped her implement them. I suggested gluing the pictures to the paper, but she saw this as a great opportunity to use the stapler I don’t normally let her use! The “4” is to show that she’s four right now, and the “5” is to show that she’ll be five on her birthday. I may be biased, but I think it’s all super cute!

We picked up our friend Greta earlier last week and went to Funtastic for a three hour play date! This was my first time driving another child in my car. Lucy was so excited to sit in a booster seat in the third row of the car. It made her day!

We went out for Thai food on Thursday evening, and these two girlies had themselves a great time!

After dinner we came home and gave Matty his birthday presents. His birthday was Friday, but the girls were going to their grandmas’ houses after school, so we celebrated a day early. A Yeti backpack cooler and a massage gift certificate made for a pretty good birthday for Matty boy!

This is a very blurry picture, but I still love it. We went out to dinner and a comedy show in Royal Oak on Friday night, and it was so much fun! We were able to get three other couples to join us . . . and everyone was healthy and able to get babysitters! It was a birthday miracle!

We had beautiful weather over the weekend, which allowed for outdoor playtime. The biggest news of all is that Lucy learned to ride a two wheel bike!! She asked Matty to take off the training wheels yesterday afternoon, and after about ten minutes she was cruising right along and doing an awesome job! I’m simultaneously so proud of her but also a little sad that she’s not my little baby girl anymore!

Ok, that’s all for now. It’s 10:30 on Sunday night as I type this, and this mama is DONE.
Again, thanks for your patience while I figure everything out. I can’t wait to feel more like my old blogging self again and get back into a groove!
Have a great week!
XOXO
