Happy Thursday!
Yesterday was my 38th birthday, and it was a great day!
It was basically business as usual, but with a few fun birthday activities tossed into the mix.
It began with Lucy blowing bubbles in her cereal bowl that Aunt Carla so lovingly bought her.

After we dropped Lucy off at school, Emmy and I headed to Costco. The whole fam loves Costco, so we usually go together on the weekends. This was a real treat for me to get to go during the week! Emmy and I got there at 9:45, got the very first parking spot, and waited in the car until they opened at 10.
Also, do you see the SUN shining on my face?! That was truly the best birthday gift!

Living her best life while mama cruised through the empty aisles of Costco!

We stopped at home quick to put away our purchases and then picked up Lucy up from school and headed downtown Plymouth for lunch with my parents.

We walked next door to the Cupcake Station and each got a mini cupcake. Ems was too excited about hers to pose for a birthday picture with mommy.

After lunch the girls and I hung out at home for a bit until Grandma Rita came over for dinner. We had salmon patties from Holiday Market (my favorite!) and finished with bowls of chocolate peanut butter ice cream. Here’s a picture of me gazing lovingly at my bowl!

After dinner I opened presents and then it was back to our regular bath and bedtime routine. Toy Story 4 was released on Disney+ today, so we started watching that before bed!

Such a great day filled with family, food, so many presents (I’m spoiled!), and all the calls/texts/FB messages from everyone.
It’s looking like 38 is going to be a great year!
A little news before I go: there may or may not be a blog post on Monday. In fact, you may or may not be able to access this blog! I finally pulled the trigger on hiring someone to help me transfer everything over, and it’s going down this weekend!
I’m excited and nervous all at the same time. I’m not looking forward to having to learn a whole new system/platform of blogging, but I know it’ll be better for me in the end. Here’s hoping everything goes smoothly, and I’ll see you on the other side . . . hopefully! 😉
XOXO
