Happy Monday!!
If you’re local, I hope you survived the rain/ice storm over the weekend. We had the generator all ready to go but we never lost power, much to Matty’s disappointment! ๐
Let’s dive right into it, shall we?
On any given day, I never know if my computer is going to work properly or if it’s going to do this.
Ugh!

I took the girls to their favorite place in the world last Thursday: Kidcadia! They played for almost THREE hours and had the time of their lives!

Oma took us out to lunch afterward, and Lucy had fun posing for photos while Oma took Emmy to the potty.

Play hard, nap hard!

I got new glasses, and Lucy looks cuter in them than I do! Unfortunately, I put them on and couldn’t see a thing! This led to a trip to the Warby Parker store in the pouring rain on Saturday morning. It turns out one of the lenses was 35 degrees off the axis . . . whatever that means! They were so apologetic, sent them back with expedited shipping, and gave me a tiny refund. I highly recommend Warby Parker for glasses!

Everyone was looking so cute for school on Friday morning.

Emmy put on this maxi dress for the first time Friday afternoon, and her reaction was priceless. This was her cousin Sadie’s dress, and then Lucy wore it obsessively, and now Emmy!

The girls are so excited for Gordie’s sixth birthday this coming Saturday that they decorated the loft over the weekend. Should I tell them that the party isn’t at our house??

A rainy Saturday morning meant some couch cuddle/bonding time for Matty and Emmy.

After Warby Parker we made a Costco run. These two were so silly the entire time, but they were pretty sweet holding hands after walking out of the bathroom. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Emmy’s potty training success has blown me away!

When Matty finds the pattern bears that I left out on the counter.

Matty and I were supposed to go to the show to see 1917 on Sunday morning. We are not movie theatre people. The last time we were at the show was to see Avatar, which was released in 2009!! Anyways, he really wanted to see 1917 on some special screen that the theatre by us has. The icy roads prohibited my mom from making the drive out to watch the girls, so Matty went by himself and sent me this subpar photo of himself reclined in his chair.

While he was at the show, us girls hit up Target and Kroger. Lucy and Emmy split their time between being super loud/crazy/pushing one another’s buttons . . .

. . . and playing “sleeping
I’ll take sleeping baby any day!

I tried something new yesterday and served lunch to the girls family style. It was so cute to see them choose their own foods and fill their own plates. It was even cuter to hear them say, “Please pass the avocado, Lulu,” and “Emmy, are you going to have any more ham or can I finish it?” They had a great time, and I think I’m on to something here!

The rest of Sunday was spent meal prepping, and the three hours I spent in the kitchen is going to save me so much time throughout the week. It’s a good feeling!
Have a great week!
XOXO
