Happy Thursday!
I hope everyone is having a good week. Mine’s about to be awesome because I’m getting a MASSAGE this afternoon! Is there anything better than a spur of the moment massage?
Maybe a spur of the moment all expenses paid vacation to Turks and Caicos.
I’ll take what I can get. 😉
I’m a little light on the pictures again today for two reasons:
1. Lucy has been calling me out a bit lately for being on my phone a lot, so I’ve made an effort to leave it on the kitchen counter and not carry it around with me everywhere during the day.
No phone = no pictures.
2. It’s like I’m running a nudist colony around here most days because both girls are shedding their clothing on a regular basis. My neighbor walked her daughter over for a play date last week, and Lucy opened the door wearing only a t-shirt and panties, and Emmy only had her panties on. The sad part is that none of us were phased by it a single bit! They MUST wear panties, but other than that I’m just letting them do their thing. I assume they’ll put clothes on if they get cold.
No clothes = no pictures.
This picture will make Carla and some of my friends (but especially Carla!) laugh. Anyone who has taken photographs with me knows I have no shame in reminding the photographer to hold the camera above face level to avoid a double chin situation. Lucy still has a lot to learn about the art of flattering selfies, but this is adorable nonetheless!

We ran some errands at a looooong strip mall the other day. Of course the two stores I wanted to go to were at opposite ends. I pushed the girls in a shopping cart on the way there, but they were so fired up in the store that I made them walk the whole way back to the car to burn off some energy. They weren’t mad about it.

Lucy spotted this giant rock and declared it a great spot for a photo shoot.

I would have to say that there is nothing sweeter than listening to Emmy sing along to Disney princess music in the car. Into the Unknown, Let it Go, and Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo are a few of her favorites. If she doesn’t know the words, no problem, she’ll make them up!

I’m not sure if Emmy is more excited about riding on Matty’s shoulders or about her new swimming frock that I got from a mom in our neighborhood. At least she has clothes on!

Lucy was really interested in having a sleepover with Emmy, so we moved the old toddler bed into Lucy’s room. I can be fun sometimes!

They were a little excited!

We put them to bed at 8:00. They immediately both needed a bathroom break, and then were up chatting at 8:15.

And at 9pm I moved Emmy back into her room. Ha!
It was at Lucy’s request, actually. Emmy kept trying to crawl into bed with Lucy, but a twin bed isn’t exactly conducive for co-sleeping. Emily was slightly annoyed but handled the change of plans like a champ, thank goodness!
We get to help Gordie celebrate his SIXTH birthday on Saturday. Other than that, the weekend is wide open!
See you Monday!
XOXO
Lololol!!! I love all of Lu’s chins 😂 And how stinkin’ cute is that sleepover?!?! ❤️❤️
