Happy Thursday, friends!
I really don’t have much to blog about today; things have been pretty quiet around here this week.
Emmy is obsessed with her star lamp that Aunt Donna got her for Christmas. She loves choosing the color of her stars each night before bed.

Here’s Ems in her big girl panties giving Matty a big snuggle before work. All three of us have been missing him big during the day this week!

Even though I’m missing Matty since he’s back at work, I have to say that the girls’ behavior has improved a bit. I guess they love a good routine as much as their mama! They’re back to playing nicely together and letting me get a few things done.

Since Emily is officially potty trained, we decided to let her get a new toy as a reward. She immediately said she wanted a unicorn stuffy. When I tried to redirect her toward a toy or a book since she already has two big unicorn stuffies, she politely informed me that she wants a unicorn stuffy that is smaller so she can carry it around. You can’t argue with that logic!
Lucy has been such a great big sister helper during the potty training process that we let her pick out a stuffy too.
I wasn’t crazy with Emmy’s face in this pic I tried to take outside of Michael’s . . .

. . . so I tried again at home and got this. They know how to pose for pictures; I think they’re learning how to mess with me!

There’s nothing cuter than watching Emmy drink a smoothie from a bendy straw. Also, I forgot to buy spinach so the smoothie turned out pink instead of a weird green and Em’s reaction/delight was adorable.

I recently finished this book and really enjoyed it. It goes back and forth between modern day and Poland in 1942 when it was occupied by Nazis. The story was heartfelt and gut wrenching at times, but I couldn’t put it down. Definitely a bit heavier of a read than what I’ve been used to lately, but I’m so glad I read it.

I tried to include a link to the book on Amazon, but my computer has been acting up lately and now it won’t open up Amazon at all. I suppose there’s a small chance that Matthew Kissel has locked me out of our account on purpose, but I’m pretty sure it’s my laptop. If I go radio silent without any warning sometime in the near future, it’s probably because my laptop died and I have to buy a new one.
Have a great weekend!
XOXO
