Happy Thursday!
It’s cold here today, so I’m looking forward to reminiscing about our time in sunny Florida.
If you missed it, my Magic Kingdom recap is here.
Today is all about our third day in Florida, which we spent at Epcot and then back at Magic Kingdom.
First off, I can’t say enough good things about the bus system at Disney. Everyone was patient, happy, and we never had to wait long.
After eating breakfast at our hotel, we hopped on the bus and headed to Epcot. Right away I could tell it was going to be more laid back than Magic Kingdom. There was nowhere near as many people!

Our first Fast Pass was for Spaceship Earth, which is a ride through that big ball you see there. It was pretty cool, I suppose. The girls and everyone else seemed to enjoy it, although I found it slightly boring. Oops!

After the ride, we strolled over to Norway to meet Elsa and Anna! We had to wait about 30 minutes, and the girls did great!

We haven’t seen Frozen 2 yet, but apparently this is how Elsa looks in that movie. Personally, I was bummed that she didn’t have her blue dress on, but the girls didn’t say a word.

Most of the character experiences have you exit through a gift shop. Therefore, we now have two Baby Sven stuffies!

It was an absolutely gorgeous day, and the girls were happy to be pushed around in the stroller for awhile we we enjoyed the different countries and had a few beers.

Oh, and a gigantic pretzel in Germany!

We saw that Santa and Mrs. Claus were there, and I couldn’t pass up the chance to try and see them! I figured it would be a super long line, but we only had to wait about 20 minutes or so. While we waited, Matty enjoyed some sort of dark, peppermint beer that was delicious.

I am so happy with how well the girls did with Santa! I thought for sure Emmy might be nervous, but she did great! A train table, a karaoke machine, and a rainbow dog with a sparkle leash . . . their orders are in!

We had reservations for lunch at the Coral Reef restaurant, and it was so cool to see all the sea life in the aquarium while we ate!

After lunch we rode the Nemo ride . . .

. . . and then checked out the aquarium.

On our way out of Epcot we saw a building for a character meet and greet. We were able to walk right in and meet Mickey, Goofy, and Minnie all in about ten minutes!

The girls (and grandmas!) were tired so we decided to head back to our hotel and let the girls nap for a bit before heading back to Magic Kingdom that night.
Spoiler alert: it didn’t happen! The only one who napped in our room was Matty.
The girls were so fired up, so we let them watch a show or two on their Kindles and then had some dinner at the hotel before going to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Magic Kingdom was just as crowded as the previous day, except this time it was dark and harder to maneuver everyone! The decorations were amazing, though and we all got a giant Minnie Mouse sugar cookie . . . so there’s that!
The rides that were open had shorter wait times since there was so much going on around the park, so we did do a few rides before heading over to watch the Christmas show near the castle. They made it look like this at first . . .

. . . and then switched back to the beautiful lights!

There was a parade at 8:15 and then fireworks at 10pm. I figured we could power through for the parade but probably wouldn’t last for the fireworks. I was right. Emmy put herself to sleep in the stroller about 8:00!

We found an awesome spot for the parade, and Lucy and I hung out the whole time and had fun waving to everyone.

She’s 45 pounds, and I held her up for at least half the parade!

The parade was much longer than expected and quite impressive with the music, dancing, and lights!

Lucy made it to the end, but this was her by the time we got to the park exit. We decided staying for the fireworks might be pushing our luck a bit, so we went back to the hotel where Emmy woke up long enough to get her teeth brushed and pajamas on before passing out again. Lucy was dead to the world so we just stripped her down to her underwear and tucked her in! They both slept great and were excited to get morning showers instead of night ones. It’s the little things!

And that’s the end of day three!
Check back TOMORROW for a bonus post all about the last part of our trip.
XOXO
