Happy Thursday!
Summer is officially here!
We’ve been living outdoors lately, and we’ve got the red cheeks and tan lines to prove it.
Monday was an overcast day, which the deck workers probably appreciated. We spent the entire day hanging out at home playing. The girls colored for a bit while their newly painted toenails dried.
Lucy played a new game while Emmy napped. If you haven’t checked out the Busy Toddler webpage, you need to. She has the best ideas for preschoolers!
Matty “worked from home” on Tuesday, which involved him running some errands, taking a trip to the pool with us, and then heading off to golf in the afternoon. He did get a solid three hours of work time in the morning while I took the girls to the splash pad and playground, though. But first . . . the girls had some important emails to send!
Splash Pad fun with Miss Marie, Amelia, and Ellie!
Lucy found her inner ballerina while playing in the tree . . .
. . . so Emmy had to find hers too!
Those ringlets!
Yesterday morning we ate our first of many meals on our new deck! Hopefully we’ll have some adult sized furniture soon.
Lucy’s school had an open house last night with a visit from Mother Goose. We headed over after dinner, and the girls colored some nursery rhyme pictures to get them in the spirit.
When Mother Goose came in, Matty said he thought her goose was real for a split second . . .
. . . and I think Emmy did too. Look at that face!
We were so proud of how well the girls sat and participated. And Emmy didn’t shed a single tear! Thank goodness they love on one another when they’re out in public, at least!
While we were listening to Mother Goose, this cutie pie was six hours away celebrating her 2nd birthday! Sweet Eleanor is about to dive into an ice cream cake that dreams are made of!
And just like that we went from a weekend of zero plans to having something to do Friday, Saturday, and Sunday! It’s shaping up to be a busy, HOT, but fun weekend. Come back on Monday to see what we’ve been up to!
Have a great weekend!
XOXO
