Happy Thursday!
We’ve had a string of beautiful weather days (and by that, I mean 2.5 warm/sunny days in a row!), and we’ve been spending a lot of time outside.
Tuesdays are Matty’s golf nights so the girls and I get together with the wife of Matt’s golf partner and their two little girls. The girls had a blast spending the morning rotating between the kiddie pool, the swings, and the trampoline.
We went inside for lunch and some play time and then snapped this adorable pic before heading home. How do you get four girls to give such cute smiles? . . .
. . . cookies!
Blue cookies, to be exact, that gave the girls blue tongues. They loved it!
The girls had slept late that morning so, because I like to live on the edge, I decided to skip nap and we headed straight for our neighborhood pool when we got home from our play date.
We swam for almost two hours with a snack break in between.
Yesterday was another beautiful day so we played inside for a bit, hit up the playground, and then decided to push lunch back a bit and go to the pool. I’m so thankful that we have such a nice pool within walking distance, but getting these girls there and playing with them all by myself is no joke! Why am I the one that always needs a nap the most?!
The girls weird behaviors and tantrums are still unpredictable and going strong. To celebrate the fact that I’ve made it halfway through the week, I decided we needed to go for ice cream after dinner last night. My hope is that as the girls ate their ice cream they thought to themselves that mommy can be FUN after all and doesn’t always tell us no or correct us. Here’s hoping!
Ems was nothing if not ladylike while eating her cone! ๐
We have a big weekend coming up with Father’s Day and our anniversary!
Matty and I will be celebrating 13 years of marriage on Sunday! No long, over the top post this year. I still have two more years to work on our 15 year post, but if you want to take a trip down memory lane here’s the post I did for our ten year anniversary.
Have a great weekend!
XOXO
