Happy Monday!
It was Kentucky Derby and Cinco de Mayo weekend, and I wore no hats, watched none of the race, and ate nothing that included salsa or guacamole. Boo!!
We still managed to have some fun, though!
South Lyon had their city-wide garage sale over the weekend. There were a few houses within walking distance that were participating, so the girls and I checked them out Thursday afternoon. We got a ton of new puzzles for Lucy to tackle, and this adorable Cinderella dress up dress that was only $1!!
I had an appointment in downtown Plymouth on Friday that was within walking distance of our old favorite coney island and dessert shop. I brought home lunch from Greek Islands and peanut butter balls from Alpine Chocolate Haus. The girls loved it! #theygetitfromtheirmama
It’s not a Saturday if the Kissels aren’t at Costco! Lucy’s holding that membership card up high and proud.
The cashier at the checkout asked if I’d like to make a donation to the Children’s Miracle Network. I said yes, and she asked if Lucy knew how to write her name. She handed Lulu a clipboard and stood there while Lucy wrote all the letters of her name . . . but not necessarily in the correct order ๐
We celebrated our favorite one-year-old on Saturday afternoon. Ellie was super cute, but only mildly interested in her cake.
We played outside for awhile. There was lots of swinging . . .
. . . and jumping on the trampoline.
I got the kiddos fed and cleaned up, and then Matty caught a pic of me eating alone after the kids left the table. If I’m being honest, I didn’t really mind! haha
It was reminiscent of Christmas Eve 2016!
I don’t love when the girls wake up over an hour earlier than usual, but I do like them snuggling in our bed!
Not wrestling, just snuggling!
Yesterday was a beautiful day! I had a shopping day with my mom while Matty and Rita held down the fort at home. When I got back, the girls were tired, dirty, and smelled like sunscreen. Summer is coming!!
And I won’t bore you with anymore sleep regression details, except to say that this is how I got Emmy to sleep last night. Our latest issue is that her little voice is incredibly hoarse from us letting her cry it out at night. Things could be worse . . . but they could also be better!
This week will be spent getting ready for Lucy’s birthday party on Saturday. I blinked and now she’s going to be FOUR . . . and I have to figure out how to commemorate it with a flamingo cake!
XOXO
