It’s the last Wednesday in April . . . how is that possible already??
If you’re a true fan, you’ll get this meme! I know my friend Bridget will!
I only have one exciting food item to share. We picked up this cauliflower crust pizza at Costco over the weekend, and it does not disappoint. Seriously! Obviously, it’s not going to taste like a Jet’s deep dish pepperoni pizza, but it’s quite delicious for a pizza made entirely of veggies. Oh, and the girls ate it too! We had some leftover chicken so we made the pizza as our side, and everyone was happy!
I had this on my nails last week, and I got a solid SIX days before there was any noticeable chipping. It’s a bright coral/pink and perfect for spring and summer. I just put it on my toes last night, and it makes me happy every time I see my toes!
We’re starting to spruce up the yard for spring and summer. Matty cut the grass for the first time this week and is already getting compliments on it. We ordered a love seat from Target for our porch and I grabbed some pillows and two tables from At Home and now I love our porch!
This isn’t the greatest picture. I snapped it quickly to show Matty the finished set up and didn’t think about centering things or getting it to look nice. oops! Oh, and I’m aware it’s time to remove my Easter egg wreath. I want something white to provide a big contrast with our black door.
Sing it with me! . . .
The sneezing, the itchy eyes and throat . . . it’s starting already!
It’s time to start figuring out what type of flowers I can plant in different areas around our yard. Basically, I have to decide what I want to lovingly cultivate for a few months and then ignore for the last half of summer.
Please see my response to “What are You Doing This Weekend?” below.
I feel like we really stepped up our game this month! We watched TWO movies this month, which is rare, but the real miracle is that I stayed awake for both of them. Now that’s the sign of a good movie!
The first one is A Star is Born.
The movie, the music, the actors . . . it was all really good! I knew nothing about this movie going in and really enjoyed it.
And I think I liked Bohemian Rhapsody even more! Obviously, I know who Queen is and remember hearing the songs growing up, but I didn’t know much about the band or its members. The movie was very interesting and the music was great!
Well, we finished The Office so it seems only natural that we’d progress right into Parks and Recreation. Is there anything funnier that Rob Lowe’s character on this show? The answer is no!
I’ve been watching The OC on the treadmill, and I can’t get enough! I loved it back in the day, and I love it now. I can get just over three miles in during the 43 minute show, and it flies by.
If you watch the movie, you’ll be listening to this too!
I haven’t worn it yet, but I picked up this hat at J. Crew Factory. I have some Melasma on my face (courtesy of Emily’s pregnancy) that gets worse with sun exposure, so I’m now that person that will be donning a floppy hat at the pool or on the boat. I’m sure I’ll look just as glamorous as the model! 😉
I treated myself to these sunnies from the Nordstrom spring sale. I sent this picture to several people to get their opinions, and the majority voted to keep them. I’ve worn them a few times and think I’m happy with them. For reference, the last time I bought a pair of sunglasses was EIGHT years ago. I bought myself a pair of lady Oakley’s from Macy’s and they’ve been awesome. Honestly, there’s nothing wrong with them except whenever I see pictures of myself in sunglasses for the past eight years I’m wearing the same ones . . . and I’m tired of them!
Oh boy, I have one word for you: STAYCATION!
Matty took Thursday and Friday off, and the girls are headed to their grandparents’ Thursday after Lucy finishes school. . . and we aren’t picking them up until mid afternoon on Saturday! We’re going to get some yard work done, work on some house projects, do a little shopping, see some friends, and RELAX!
We’ll pick the girls up later in the afternoon on Saturday and then head downtown to see . . .
I hope they enjoy it!!
Lucy Belle is turning FOUR!!!
How is this sweet girl four years old already?? We’ll be celebrating with a flamingo party!
And May means Memorial Day! We’ll be heading to the cottage with these four crazy cuties. I think I’ll try to recreate this picture.
We picked a deck design/company, and they will get started toward the end of May. I’m super duper excited to have a space to sit and enjoy our backyard!
In honor of our staycation, I’ll be taking Friday off from blogging.
Have a great weekend, and I’ll be back on Monday!
XOXO
Oh, and for the grandmas, here’s what the girls have been up to lately:
Naked breakfasts . . . .
. . . and coloring in giant boxes!
