Happy Monday!
I hope everyone had a good weekend. Ours was a good combination of busy/productive/relaxing with a side of sleep regression thrown in courtesy of Emmy Roses.
Oh, and a lot of sugar as you’ll see from some of the pictures!
These were from earlier last week but too cute not to share. Peach yogurt pops for the win after dinner!
Having fun trying on some sunnies at Target!
Our street is having an Easter egg hunt the day before Easter. Lucy helped me fill some eggs to drop off. She also sampled the fillers ๐
We spent the day at Oma and Papa’s on Friday. The girls dyed eggs for the first time!
After lunch, Lucy spent quite a long time working on a puzzle in the toy room.
Emmy and my dad were watching The Grinch on the couch until Ems led her Papa into the kitchen and told him it was time for a chocolate malt.
What Emmy wants, Emmy gets!!
Lucy and Matty built a playground on Saturday morning.
And then it was time for some baby wearing!
It was cold but sunny so we drove to a big playground and burned some energy for awhile.
Emmy finally earned herself a spot at the big table!
After baking some chocolate chip cookies and then resting a bit, we headed outside to enjoy the beautiful weather. Matty is happy that Lucy is showing an interest in his lawn hobby ๐
We had a birthday party bright and early at Funtastic yesterday morning. How cute are these donuts!?
The birthday girl was sitting at the head of the table, just out of the picture. This was the look on Emmy’s face the ENTIRE time we sang happy birthday. She didn’t blink; she didn’t move. She just gave poor Catherine the death stare, most likely because Catherine had a donut in front of her and she didn’t!
Once Emmy finally got her donut, she was the talk of the party. She ate most of it like a dog and had frosting EVERYWHERE!
After their treats, the girls played so well with one another! Matty and I got to sit and talk with the other parents for almost 40 minutes!
After the party we made it home in time for lunch and for Matty to watch Tiger win the Masters! He had a few cuddle buddies while he watched.
I was cleaning up after dinner and caught them doing this. Needless to say, our parenting styles don’t always match up!
We have a busy week ahead of us. The thing I’m looking forward to the least is Emmy’s two year well-visit on Wednesday morning. From the time she was born, I can’t recall a single doctor visit that Emmy hasn’t screamed through. We’ve been talking about it for a few days now, and she says she’s going to be brave, but I’m willing to bet the tears start as soon as we pull into the parking lot. I don’t recall if there are any shots for the two year visit, but if there are then I think all of us are going to require some ice cream afterward!
XOXO
