Weekend Recap

April 8, 2019 by Molly Leave a Comment

Happy Monday!
We had a weekend of gorgeous weather and spent SO MUCH TIME outside! In fact, I don’t really have many pictures because were so busy being productive and playing with friends.
In between playing, riding bikes, and taking walks, we cleaned out the garage, grill, and gutters, made the rounds to Costco, Kroger, and Kohls, and did our taxes.
Phew!
Our weekend started with a trip to see the Easter Bunny on Friday morning. We went to Laurel Park Mall, which has a bunch of little car rides that you can do for $1 a piece. The girls love to do them, but I think they’re too expensive, so I had the idea to have the girls count out eight quarters from each of their piggy banks so they could have two rides a piece. #momwin
Let’s take a trip down memory lane and look at last year’s Easter picture. We went to a florist who charged $5 for a pic with the creepiest bunny you’ve ever seen. And the kiddos LOVED it!

This year Carla and I decided to upgrade and split the $30 package at the mall to see a slightly less terrifying bunny. The girls were so excited to see the bunny, and Emmy was waving and blowing kisses . . . until it was time to sit down for a picture. I plopped her down and quickly ducked out. Sadie did a great job of trying to hold on to her, and we got ourselves a fantastic picture!

Lucy couldn’t get enough!

Oma took everyone out to lunch afterward, and Emmy decided to help herself to some soup.

Oma and all her little loves!

We walked to the playground for a bit after dinner Friday night and had the place to ourselves!

Saturday was a beautiful day, and we spent most of it outside.

We gave the girls suckers in the wagon after dinner and told them they couldn’t get out to walk until their suckers were gone. They ended up staying in the wagon the entire time, and Matty and I got a nice walk in! I think I’m going to be buying a bag of suckers to keep on hand.

The only picture I have from yesterday is of our meal prepping. Cauliflower rice with veggies, chicken, and egg for me, chicken with broccoli for Matty, and a frittata for my breakfasts. Not pictured are the chocolate chip cookies that we also made. #oops

We’ve got a pretty standard week coming up. Spring break is over, so Lucy will head back to school. The weather looks pretty good, so I’m sure we’ll be spending as much time as possible outside.
Have a great week!
XOXO

Classroom Before and After

Happy First Day of School! I’m coming up for a very quick breath of air to share my classroom before and after pics. I signed my contract at 3:30pm last Tuesday . . . that’s one week ago today. There was a lot of excitement and a lot of tears. In the blink of one […]

Mrs. Kissel: 2nd Grade Teacher!

Surprise! There are three Kissel ladies going back to school this year. Emily starts Kindergarten, Lucy’s in 2nd grade…and I’m coming out of retirement to teach second grade!!! (Not Lucy’s class!) I was hired Monday afternoon, and the amount of overwhelm and range of emotions I’ve felt since then has been, well, overwhelming! To those […]
