I hope everyone had a great Easter weekend. We had beautiful weather yesterday, which made up for the terrible weather on Friday and Saturday.
Matty had Friday off so we headed to the outlets to do a few returns, and he got a little taste of what shopping with two little girls is like!
Lots of potty breaks!
We relaxed for a bit in the afternoon . . .
. . . and then walked across the street to celebrate our neighbor, who was turing six.
Emmy made herself right at home on this unicorn.
And thoroughly enjoyed a cupcake!
That girl in the magenta wig is supposed to be a character from a Disney movie called The Descendants. We’ve never heard of that movie, but the bigger girls were all super excited, and Lucy just went with the flow!
Saturday was a super rainy day.
We made our weekly trip to Costco and then dyed some Easter eggs.
We set a snack out for the Easter Bunny before going up to bath time. Three carrots, a cookie, and a glass of milk!
That silly bunny dangled some Reese’s Pieces carrots from the girls’ doors and left some bunny prints on the carpet leading downstairs.
I didn’t get many pictures of the girls finding/opening their baskets, but I did get this gem of them in their new swimsuits and sunnies!
Matty tried out the sunnies as well.
We played outside for a lot of the morning before going in for an early lunch and a nap for Emmy. After nap we got dressed and hit the road for Oma and Papa’s house.
Yesterday was also Andy’s 11th birthday! While we ate dinner, opened baskets, and hunted for eggs at my parents’ house, Andy opted to spend the afternoon at the Tigers game!
Emily LOVES The Incredibles so she was super happy to get a stretchy Elastigirl in her basket from my parents!
I think this is the best picture of the weekend!
Finally, a family photo that I love!!
After the egg hunt we went back inside where Emmy enjoyed some chocolate eggs . . .
. . . and Lucy covered her legs in stamps!
Around 5:30 we headed over the Zack and Carla’s to celebrate Andy’s birthday. Just a quick two block walk!
Thanks, Aunt Carla, for more stuffies! 😉
Check out those socks!
We celebrated Andy . . .
. . . and had cupcakes and ice cream before heading home way past bath time. The hour drive gave Lucy plenty of time to have a major meltdown! Too much sugar, not enough dinner.
I had to do some comparison pictures! Lucy is on the left in 2017 and Emmy is on the right in 2019. They are both around two-years-old. Same age, same ponytails, same cuteness level!
Lucy in 2017 and in 2019. What a difference two years makes!
Both of my sweet girls from yesterday!
The weather is looking great this week, and we are ready for some outdoor playtime!
See you Wednesday.
