If the weather shakes out the way everyone is predicting, it’s shaping up to be another snowy and super duper cold week. There’s a good chance that Lucy’s school might be closed both days that she goes this week, and that would be a bummer! Here’s hoping Play Doh, crafts, baking, play time, and movies keep us all from going stir crazy!
Our weekend started out great with a trip downtown to see Sesame Street Live! It was such a great show, and the girls had a blast!
A busy morning at Sesame Street Live plus ANOTHER cold was too much for Lucy, and she put herself down for a little nap Friday afternoon!
Now that we live an hour away from our family, we usually let the girls watch a movie on their Kindles in the car. Em’s is strapped to the headrest because otherwise she’d push all the buttons and turn off the movie. We’ve grown tired of listening to The Incredibles over and over again so we finally got her a pair of headphones to try out, and she is loving them!
Carla sent me this adorable picture of Gordie and a rainbow craft he made all by himself. What a cutie!
We made a Costco run Saturday morning, and Matty found himself a nice cozy spot to wait out the crowds.
Saturday afternoon snuggles!
We took Lucy ice skating for the first time on Sunday!
Look at those cute little skates!
Oh, it was Matty’s first time too . . . he was a natural.
The rink was super duper crowded, which was kind of a bummer, but once we got our hands on one of these walkers it got a whole lot easier!
Ice skating is hard work!
Emmy woke up with a cold yesterday morning that got worse as the day went on. She fell asleep right away at bedtime, which I was surprised about, but then woke up crying about an hour later. Sweet snuggles are my favorite!
All the schools are closed this morning due to the snow so I’m REALLY hoping Emmy doesn’t wake up requiring a trip to the doctor.
We’ll be making some zucchini carrot muffins, homemade Play Doh, and watching Tangled if you need us!
