Stop Whatever You’re Doing . . .

January 9, 2019 by Molly Leave a Comment

. . . and start reading this book I’m about to tell you about!
But first, a little background!

Reading is my favorite hobby, and I’ve tried to keep it up as much as possible since the girls have been born. Once Lucy arrived, I started using the Kindle app on my phone for several reasons:

1. It was hard to hold a baby and a book.
2. My phone was always with me, therefore so was my book.
3. When I was rocking babies in the middle of the night I couldn’t very well have a lamp on to read, so my phone worked great.

But . . . I can definitely tell it’s been taking a toll on my eyes.

So I asked for a Kindle Paperwhite for Christmas and LOVE it! I opted for the previous generation because I didn’t see the need to pay the extra $50 for a waterproof version. Here’s hoping I don’t regret that decision! The Paperwhite is great because it’s like reading a book with a built in light . . . no harsh blue light from my phone screen.

I chose this case and have been pleasantly surprised with the quality for such a low price.

The first book I bought for it was The Last Mrs. Parrish, and I couldn’t put it down! I finished it within 48 hours of starting, and it only took me that long because things like kids, eating, and a husband got in the way of me reading more! I haven’t immersed myself in a book like that in a long time, and it felt great!
If you like twists, turns, and being on the edge of your seat (in a good way!) then this book is for you. Nothing scary or gruesome, just a good old fashioned thriller.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
XOXO
