Oh my!
Happy Monday, friends!
We finally got a good amount of snow on Saturday, and we weren’t mad about it! I didn’t take any pictures because it was too cold to keep taking my gloves on and off, but stay tuned for a funny video of the girls sledding.
Friday morning is sheet changing day. I have the girls pretty well trained so they know that on Fridays they get up, take all the stuffies out of their crib/bed, take off the sheets, and throw the sheets in the washer. I went to go take our sheets off to throw in with the girls’ and found the washer completely full with not only their sheets but their stuffies as well! Octopus Roses sitting right on top made me laugh. A bath for everyone!
I caught them warming up their tummies by the fire!
My friend Amber and her sweet daughter, Sydney, came over Friday morning. Sydney just turned one, so she’s less than a year younger than Emmy. Lucy did a great job of playing doting big sister to Syd, and Emmy nailed the “jealous middle sister” role. Any time Sydney grabbed a toy, Ems felt the need to ask for a turn herself or to remind Sydney that the toy didn’t belong to her!
Emmy got fancy on Friday night and spent a good amount of time practicing her ottoman jumping.
And then this happened on Saturday morning! For the first time Emmy asked to sit on the potty and then actually followed through and let us put her on. She sat on the potty three times throughout the day on Saturday . . . and didn’t go once! #babysteps
We braved the heavy snow and bad roads and headed to Kroger Saturday morning. Look at those sweet sisters in the Frozen boots!
We took the girls out to play after lunch. They had fun shoveling some snow and then sledding with our neighbors . . . until Emmy took a tumble. Don’t worry, she was totally fine and now enjoys watching this video on repeat!
It was -1 degrees when the girls woke up yesterday morning, so it seemed like a good idea to snuggle up and read books.
And we spent Sunday afternoon celebrating this silly guy turning FIVE!!
We had some meal prep to do when we got home after the party, so we set up a snow station in the toy room. It bought us about 25 minutes!!
Once they were done playing in the snow, the girlies warmed their hands and feet by the fire.
And now we’re ready to tackle the week!
We’ve got two play dates on the books for this week, Mother Goose is visiting Lucy’s class on Thursday, and we are heading to Sesame Street Live on Friday morning. It’s shaping up to be a great week!
Stay warm!
XOXO
