We’re in the home stretch to the weekend, and this mama feels like she’s crawling her way to the finish line.
Am I the only one??
And the main reason is this little lady right here:
Our sweet Emmy Roses is going through something this week, and it just won’t quit. She’s not sick and doesn’t seem to be teething . . . but the crying, clinging, and fussiness is no joke. She only wants me to hold her, cries most of the time when Lucy tries to play with her, more often than not she’s waking up from nap crying and cranky, oh, and she is being a stinker, not listening, and has started throwing tantrums getting in the car because she wants to sit in Lucy’s car seat instead of her own! While I was trying to braid Lucy’s hair for school on Tuesday morning, Ems literally hung from my legs and screamed for me to hold her . . . for ten minutes straight. I ended up having to put her in her crib for a few minutes just so I could help Lucy get ready and finish getting myself ready. And then . . . she flips a switch and she’s fine and totally sweet for awhile!
Ahhh!
Anyway, I’ve been trying to squeeze workouts in during the day whenever I can. On Monday, I put a workout video on my computer and told the girls they could play with anything they wanted as long as they didn’t bother mommy. Parenting at its best, right there!
I chose a quick, 20 minute workout video because I figured they wouldn’t really leave me alone . . . but I was wrong! After 40 minutes they were still busy emptying out the entire play room and moving it to the front room! #whateverworks
Lucy had unicorn dress up time . . .
. . . and Ems dressed up as Rapunzel.
On Wednesday, I traced the girls on paper and spent a good part of the day working on turning them into Violet from The Incredibles. They’re silly, but pretty cute!
Keeping it short and sweet today.
There’s snow in the forecast for tomorrow, and we’re keeping our fingers crossed we get enough for sledding and snow angel making! Here’s hoping!
Have a great weekend!
XOXO
I’m dying at the empty playroom!!!
